Noone is talking about them winning a natty or anything. All we are talking about it who is the better team. That's it. Penn State, to me, looks like the better team than Stanford. Don't know how them being amazing or winning the national title got inserted here.

I don’t remember how this got started, but I think maybe there’s someone else taking a more extreme angle with it and you just got caught up in it.

I KEPT Penn State at 11 and dropped Stanford down to 15 or 16 for whatever it’s worth. I’m not anywhere closed to convinced Stanford is all that good at this point. And I continue to be pretty “meh” on Penn state.

I don’t know that they’re not, but trying to compare schedules and claim penn states has been more impressive based on any factor is insane. Throw away two scrub games who any real power 5 team should be blowing out, and their most complete and impressive game for them so far went in the loss column.

That said I wouldn’t argue if you want to rank them in front of Stanford or you think they’d beat Stanford. Just leave it at you think they’re a better team. We don’t need to be pretending App State is something they’re not, or Illinois is something they’re not (I know that gem wasn’t yours).

Yes, all I'm saying is that Penn State is a better football team. Haven't said anything other than that. Penn State has had a cakewalk aside from Ohio State, no denying that fact. But I'm more confident in Penn State than I am in Stanford.

I'd be curious as to how you would rank PSU's and Stanford's opponents that they've beaten 1-8. I haven't seen a single metric that would rank PSU's as harder, except the metric in your head.

I'm not saying PSU's schedule is demonstrably better. I'm saying it's comparable, and more importantly, I'm saying they look better against it.

Colorado needed a self-inflicted penalty by Nebraska late in the game to beat them, and Nebraska is absolutely horrible. Colorado beating teams is far from a guarantee. Penn State would've absolutely destroyed them, that's obvious.

So ASU having a 4th quarter miracle comeback over MSU is why you have SDSU ranked? That's some pillowy soft logic there. SDSU is 79th in the efficiency rankings. You actually ripped me apart for saying Illinois wasn't god-awful compared to USC this year, and they're 5 spots behind SDSU. 79th in the efficiency rankings and you think they're one of the 25 best teams in the nation. I will probably not check out the CBB board. Even if OSU gets back to the top 5, I admittedly don't care that much about CBB.

Again, it's the only explanation for your behavior. Constantly and repeatedly propping them up, excusing their shortcomings, building up teams they've beaten for no actual reason. It's gross. I'm no ND fan, but they deserve better than this from you.
