I hope Phillip Rivers will have the stats to be a hall of famer when he decides to hang it up since he played his college football right here in my backyard for my NC State Wolfpack.

If Rivers gets in, Ryan will too.
I wouldn't put either of them in at this point.
And Boomer Esiason, Stafford, McNabb, Ken Anderson, Romo, Cousins...

None of it is going to happen.

I voted no. He’s a good QB to have in fantasy football, but not so much in a real game. The guy is a loser who racks up stats when his team is getting killed all the time. He’s similar to Stafford that way. I’m not impressed.

brady has superbowls, post season success, does phil?
Personally, I don't think wins are entirely about the quarterback especially when you're talking about the playoffs. Ben Roethlisberger has played like pure garbage in playoff games that the Steelers won and it would be foolish to say he won those games for them.

22.6 rating in the Super Bowl that they won. Yikes.

35.5 rating in the AFC championship vs. NYJ that they won. Yikes.

Tim Tebow wouldn't dream of playing that poorly.

Having a historically great defense behind you helps. My point is that one man does not dictate playoff wins. It's a silly standard.

Both Ryan and Phillips are top 6 in active QBs when you just consider career stats.

Brady
Brees
Rodgers
Phillips
Ryan
Big Ben

Well I disagree that Ryan even gets a fantasy thought of getting in at this point....When a #1 over all qb goes like 9-10 yrs without a playoff win and finally gets to a SB and drops a 20+ point lead in the 4th qtr with no answer, no one in the HOF is thinking of him.....
Flacco won more games his first 5 yrs as a rookie starter than anyone but Brady, double digit post wins, a SB win with MVP honors, all while matching Montana's playoff record of 11 Tds, 0 Int's during that run...
He will need another SB win or record breaking yr of some sort to get a later ballot IMO....
Ryan just ain't done enough with 11 yrs in the league....
