This is an utterly stupid argument. Rules are rules and Josh Gordon has to abide by them just like any other responsible human being. If I smoke weed on the weekends but never touch it during the week I can still be fired if I test positive. I agree to that when I accepted employment.
Good for you.

How about a history lesson for you.
In this country there were slaves from Africa and a bunch of rules around this profit producing organization of peoples.
Some broke the rules and got away.
It was a rule to capture freed blacks and bring them back to their owners. Follow it?
Rules are rules.
Rules are rules.
See how shortsighted and narrowminded that statement is?

I thought your last argument was dumb but this is fucking stupid. Slavery is forced labor and slaves were not given a choice in the matter. Josh Gordon being drug tested was collectively bargained and agreed upon by both players and owners.

Ok, cool, and is Josh Gordon gonna be able to overturn those rules overnight?

He's doing more than weed if he relapsed, btw. Always has.

Fine take the feds out of it, but the bolded agreed together on its ban.

Now tell me again about being ignorant.
Go to the next part of my post. Read about your ignorance there.

Hint: It was the league that came up with it.

You keep on forgetting the NFLPA agreed. Stop simply pointing at one party when both parties signed off.
They were out-negotiated and Gordon is collateral damage. Yes.

Which still doesn't mean that fans were deprived of Gordon by anyone else but by the league. It was always up to them.

How were they not given a choice to run away or not?

Some slaves chose to break the rule and others didn't.

I like the guys that got away.

No, I think we'll be deprived of his talents by the league's choices, present and past.

Read the post again. It was about rules. Not about Josh Gordon. Rules are changed all the time. "Rules are rules" is a naive, ignorant and mindless statement. As my example demonstrates.

I really do appreciate the courage they had to break the rules. You wanted them to just submit. And worse yet, you wanted to blame the slaves for it when others actually created the rules.:nono:

Oh we read it. It was just stupid. The original constitution did not have a rule that allowed slavery. In fact all men were created equally. People took it upon themselves to force slavery. The U.S. then instituted a "rule" to abolish it. Up until then there there were no rules on slavery until it was abolished.

You attempted to give a history lesson and you obviously don't know jack shit about it. That is why your point on that is so fucking stupid.
