btw Antoine Roussel has a concussion .. blind sided at a skate around prior to arriving at training camp ... no word if it was a canucks fan that hit him :noidea:
Found the footage. Definitely a Canucks fan...

Bobby Ryan hasn't topped 35 points in either of the last two seasons, has topped 20 goals twice since 2012 and has 4 years & $29 million left on his contract.

"Vegas sources indicating that Ottawa wouldn't put a value on taking the Ryan contract," Dreger said. "Ottawa's perspective was, 'No, you're getting a decent NHL player here who happens to have an ugly contract. But it's a hockey trade.'"

Sens refused to give 'Ryan discount' in trades - TSN.ca

Breaking news!

Erik Karlsson is going to San Jose. Wow!

No details on the return yet, may be a family-sized pack of chicken thighs.

The fact that Karlsson becomes - temporarily I'm sure - only the third highest paid D in San Jose really goes to show what a deal that contract became for Ottawa.

If I'm not mistaken, Brent Burns is making more next season than the entire defense corps of the Senators.

Burns will make $10 million, though his cap hit is only $8 million.

The Senators D-corp. will make $9,913,333.

So what you are saying is correct, from a certain point of view.

Hard to believe we are just 2 1/2 weeks away from the NHL season starting. Hoping for another fun season.

I have to think the Oilers could have put together a much better package to land Karlsson (including Nurse), but I for one am sure glad they didn't.

Chiarelli confirmed Oilers were not on EK65's list

SPELLING ERROR!

It's spelled "Seth Jones"

Yes. Let the lord protect Jeff Carter. It would be so sad to see him suffer in any way.

Hi, Hawaii! Hope all is well.

Indeed, those old Jets jerseys were amazing. Their new jerseys since they went back there? Not so much.

Maybe its just old man nostalgia, but I cannot think of a single "new" jersey that was an improvement on the old

(ignoring the Canucks, goes without saying)

Feels a bit odd calling anything Jackets related "old" but those first jerseys were terrible.

New ones are much better.

I wish they'd go to the thirds as their main ones.

And that psychedelic coyote thing was an abomination, the new ones are pretty sharp, IMO.
