While it is certainly possible that many people in NH looked up the Rams to get a handle on what is going on with that team I can assure that the 2nd most popular team in this state is the Giants.
The Patriots organization is only 58 years old and have only been on TV regularly for 1/2 of that time.
The old folks around here were mostly Giants fans because they were the closest NFL franchise back in their younger days and they were also on network TV just about every weekend during the season.
Growing up everyone had either Steelers or Cowboys footsies
I was a Steelers guy as a pre teen
There are 3 NFL teams I hate with a passion and the NJ Giants are not one of them.
The Steelers, Dolphins and Broncos can all go fuck themselves.
lol. For me the Cowboys reach that level of hate, Eagles a notch below
I know that when I visited Myrtle Beach, SC I was surprised when the locals told me their favorites. Some were obviously Panthers fans & I was told that quite a few were Redskins or Cowboys fans. However I was told that the majority are Steelers fans. Go figure. Also remember that (due to their sustained success) there are tons of Steelers fans all over the country.

Growing up in NH I did like the Rams. When they had Jack Youngblood. Thats kind of a weird coincidence
Did you play with a broken leg?
I just wore his jersey on Monday
49ers are Washington State favorite out of state team? That doesn't seem correct. Favorite team to hate maybe.
Did you play with a broken leg?
