329 yards rushing.

7 sacks, 14 tfl.

QB was leading rusher, and still passed for 187.

New coach, team, 1st game; one can expect some penalties and turnovers. I'm sure those things will be addressed.

I'm hopeful and yes, we are better, no doubt at all.

Calling that pass that was intercepted, in that situation was mind boggling. And something most fans would have had a field day with a year ago. Although, it did not ultimately lead to points, it concerns me a little.

Well kid is still a kid, it’s his first game. IMO it was some of the best qb play we’ve had in many years, from an 18 yr old

I wasn't referring to the kid. Rather the coach that called the play. Up 1 in the 4th, running the ball really well, and a true freshman QB.

I was pretty much encouraged by what I saw today. Until the 4th. Seemed like we did everything we could to give Colorado a chance to win and eventually it happened. It's a game that should have been won.

True, I’d have to watch the replay, may have been poor execution

Propaganda shit like iowa would put out there, there days are numbered
Their biggest fear is Nebraska having it constantly together with Frost & Co.

I was a little bit upset that Bunch didn't spike it to save clock when they got that first down towards the end, but I figure it might not be something he worked on in practice. The lesson that a stupid penalty at the wrong time can cost the team the game is something I hope Reed learns this week and here's to hoping he keeps it in mind going forward.

I am glad to see the team keep playing after they got down by 14. That's the way it should be and also the way we all wished it was since 2001. Coaching has made a difference, but just a start.

I would call what he did pretty dirty. He looks up then wrenches on his leg more.

Certain things are to be expected when the QB is a runner. That said, the QB depth is super thin and hopefully gets better next year. Without AM, this year gets even more uncertain.

Bell rushed for 104 yards. I kind of expected him to be faster than he was though. I thought he had an "extra gear," but was caught from behind after breaking off a run that should have been a TD.

Ozigbo looked good, as did Washington. Nice stable of backs.

I find this team to be night and day different from the last 3 years. I think play-calling needs to improve on offense. I wouldn't have kicked the feild goal. I would have tried to get the first down especially with the feild position. We will improve throughout the season. Hopefully Martinez is ok. I wouldn't mind playing Bunch against Troy. If Martinez needs to rest.

Running game is good.
O-line is back to being respectable.
Defense was great Sipt fer a couple of very costly errors.

Give the team a 7.5 outta 10.

Frost also could have burned a ton of time off the clock on that first drive where Bunch came in, but chose to remain up tempo.

I don’t think it’s lack of experience as a coach that led to doing these things, I just think he does what he believes in. I guarantee you Frost saw something on that play where Martinez threw the pick. I really highly doubt he just had a brain fart and didn’t realize he could have managed the clock better.

We all best buckle up and get used to it, cuz more of that type of stuff is coming.

Pretty much what i expected since they didn't get game in last week. Few turnovers can kill you, esp when you spot a good team 14 in first quarter. They looked really competitive and into the game which is big positive. The run D surprised me a bit, but glad to see. Hopefully Martinez is not seriously hurt, anyone hear anything.

Oh, and tell Gebbia to go f--- himself. Most of these kids only look at the immediate not the long term. He should have known that sooner or later he would have getting his chance. Instead he pussies out 24 hours after losing QB battle. Riley will sure turn him into a winner
