apply this same logic to tom brady or joe montana. it would be cute.

"well, he didnt make the playoffs more than he did. he never led the league in anything. he threw a ton of picks, didnt compete 60% of his passes, and was barely over .500. but in the playoffs with great defenses (1.e 15 PPG, metrics displayed) he was really good!"

Jolting Joe never lost a SB

If Pete Carroll and Matt Ryan weren't useless clogs of dog shit, Brady would have cost his team 5 rings

His best season QB rating was 93.6.

Philip Rivers career QB rating is 94.8.

Rivers has had a better career than Eli's best season.

"Decent career," he says.

LOL.

You like losers, You could just say that

Cause no one shows up smaller when his team needs him to be big than Philip Rivers

"Who cares if Phil Rivers will never win a SB playing on one loaded roster after another, look at that QBR"

Yeah, I was gonna say something similar. QBR is what we use to determine a “decent” career?

Im pretty sure that things like SB victories, SB MVP trophies, etc would more define a career.

SB wins
SB MVPs

They aren't meaningless, but it must be noted that they are single game accomplishments. Nick Foles is a Super Bowl MVP. Doesn't make him a Hall of Famer. Joe Flacco is a Super Bowl MVP. Doesn't make him a Hall of Famer.

Meaningless, indeed.

Not meaningless, but when you throw TDs at the same rate as Cam Newton, Jay Cutler, and Derek Carr, I'm hesitant to call you a Hall of Famer.

When your winning percentage is .518, I'd hardly consider you much of a winner. Try being a starting pitcher getting into the hall barely winning half your starts.

Rating
Completion %

When your QB rating is well below average for your era, as is your completion percentage, it should weigh heavily against your candidacy.

Good talk

Indeed.

I mean really, nothing irks me more than the Phil Rivers comp, he's the definition of fantasy QB

He's like Matt Stafford if Matt Stanford had a LOT better teams

The team that scores more wins. Even if they get less yards. Ta da!

Helps explain why Eli has won barely half the games he's started and missed the playoffs more than made them. He isn't very efficient.

337 touchdowns.

Also you failed the question. Very poor attempt by you.

Yes.

would more define a career.

Define, yes. Determine, no.

Eli Manning will forever go down as a 2 time Super Bowl MVP and champion. Thanks to his career statistics, he's also determined to go down as one of the most mediocre QBs of his era.

Let's see where he ranks in 10 years
Near the top. You act like he's jp losman or Patrick ramsey or byron leftwich or the hundreds of other QBs that have played in this "easy era" who didn't actually find it to be all that easy.
