Oh, It's definitely their personal dislike of Bennett's politics. There's a reason the Chief made sure he mentioned that the lady was black.

Actually he probably mentioned that because has she been white they would have increased this to hate crime. So much overcharging going on here.

I get where you stand. My point is that it doesn't matter what you "intend" the protest to be about when you have so little definition to it. Random guys doing random things and random times leads to confusion. it was perceived as a slight to the military and the players essentially said "screw what you think, I'm still doing this".

I said it then and I say it now, the kneeling was to get attention. once they had the attention they should have moved to phase 2 which is speaking about the issue. They never did that, they just kept kneeling or raising a fist or doing whatever despite knowing they weren't having the intended effect. They should have gone to the post game mics, but instead kept kneeling in silence like a bunch of misguided "look at me, I am woke too" morons.

Perception is the audience's fault, not the protesters'. It is also an excuse in this case, as everyone knows the protest was over black lives matter and nothing to do with the military. Anyone who falls for the misdirection only has themselves to blame.

Ooh! Can I play!

I'll take race-baiting buzz words for 300.

...BTW, making s**t up to slander cops & appear like a victim fits perfectly with this douche bag's persona.

That whole deal certainly does nothing to help his case. Stupid stupid stupid...

True, it is their fault for perceiving it wrong. However, when your CUSTOMER tells you that you pissed them off it doesn't really matter who is at fault now does it?

So congrats on "I'm not wrong, you are" as you sit out of the league and lose millions.

It doesn't say he went out of his way does it?
I believe the crime he is being charged with involves intent to injure. I think we can all agree that's a reach. Still doesn't remove the douche bag label for him because it has always applied for a number of reasons.

No doubt, but police often tack on every possible charge, incase it goes to court.
Years ago my brother was charged with kidnapping. No he never kidnapped anyone, what he did was move a 7-11 worker who was sweeping the stores sidewalk from outside to inside by knife point. Because he and his friends forced the guy to move it was called kidnapping.

Why did it take over a year to indict

These things, especially lesser crimes take time. They also had those major floods that probably backed up their court system.

Any particular reason your brother force a 7/11 employee to move by knife point?

They REALLY needed a big gulp and the other cashier was in the bathroom. Perfectly reasonable under the circumstances.
