Why? The already do things like this, the league does, the teams do, individual players do!What a waste of money.
How about instead of making a hundred unwearable 283-diamond trophy rings, they renovate some urban schools, rebuild some football fields, donate sports equipment and such...

It's not the ring that is stupid it's the train of thought that players don't deserve it. That's what's stupid!I'm sure they do... and they could do more if they didn't waste all that money on those stupid rings.

Well what a thought provoking response! Let me ponder this and get back with you.

You wanna go down that rabbit hole, why spend any money on sports/entertainment and instead invest it all into worthwhile causes? What a waste of money.

Ohhh you'll continue on you can't help it!You honestly think spending five million dollars on unwearable finger trophies is an intelligent investment? It reminds me of Chappelle's reparations skit.
We are obviously on polar opposite sides of the "intelligent use of money" debate and there's nothing either of us are going to say to change each other's perspective, so I'm not going to tarnish my "intelligent use of time" with a useless debate.
Therefore, and
@RP-29 Have you ever recieved a bonus at work? Were you upset, and demand it go to others, or did you gladly except it?
Fuck Arthur Blank
Good for the Pats
So your allowed a bonus, but NFL players aren't?Yes, I have received bonuses. A nice thing about receiving a bonus is that you can choose what to do with that money. Each bonus I receive goes straight to my kids' tuition.
Now here's a question for you... How many zeroes does it take for the cost of a trophy to be excessive?
For me, once you've hit three zeroes you've gone too far - no matter what the trophy stands for. Trophies are most often nothing more than conversation display pieces that usually do nothing but collect dust. Kraft hit six zeroes five times with this one event. To me, that was a grossly excessive waste of money.
