I don’t disagree with with the “should.” You can’t put this performance on Allen though. This is another case of Gruden not being able to properly prepare or motivate this team.

No disagreement from me on any of this, just as long as we agree that Allen must be fired, I'm good!!

I wanted him gone for his unprofessional and unethical treatment of Scott McCloughan. Hell, I wanted him gone instead of the Shanahans.

Yeah for sure he should have been axed for that BS against SM, and if we're looking back, I created a thread and took a bunch of flack about him being fired in 2012.

Honestly - new GM, new coach - will it matter as long as Snyder is involved? He doesn't care about winning or the fans. Very depressing.

I truly believe that if Bruce Allen is fired, Dan Snyder will throw enough money at SM to make amends with him and this team doesn't miss a beat. In a move like that, both Gruden and Kirk are retained and we have enough pieces in place to rely on a SM draft and a few free agent moves to set us right next year.

Well look like some here have had enough. I know I have. We need to clean house and start over. Gruden should be the first to go. New coach should bring in his own DC. Chages needed in the FO also b/c who picked Gruden ?

Some will blame it on the injures but this team was choking even before we were hit with injuries. Please!!!! these boys beat us with some of their players hurt and they did not give up. How many passing yds did Pressott have when we played Dallas a few wks ago. Huh!!!! We also gave away a 15 point lead so I guess that was b/c of injuries. Were are a BS team a much of chumps, thanks to Gruden.

Personally I see a team that has quite for some time now. Remember this how this BS looked at the end of Jim Zorn terms. They almost look like the same BS team under Gruden every yr. Unprepared, unable to adjust, this BS is not Okay.

I think SM is in the process of suing Snyder for being fired with cause. It' really too bad that Dan can't get out of his own way. I could play an interview SM had with Shefter after he was fired and right before the draft. He goes on record saying the guy that really stands out to him going into the draft is Kamara. Even if Dan fired Bruce, he'll just buy another one. Bruce is the new Vinny.

Yep, suing him for the 2.8m that remained on his contract after being fired. This lawsuit could get interesting, especially if Dan has to choose between Bruce and himself on whom to take the public hit for doing this. Dan owns the product, he got Bruce, or had knowledge that Bruce was doing this shit to Scott, it will come out in court/arbitration.

It is rather disheartening to think that there is a growing consensus that Dan would merely replace Bruce with another me first Bastard!!

Dan will always have a front man to take all the bullets. I was a Dan guy for a long time. He's willing to spend, yada yada yada........I can't defend him anymore. It's been too long. The losing has just gone on for a generation. My son is 18 and he thinks the glory years were Santana, Sean, and Clinton.

Here's my question based upon the thread title (Firing Gruden):

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being scorching, blistering hot,... how hot, warm or cool is his seat right now?

(Started to make a separate poll, but I figured that it would just be added to this thread anyway)

I’d say a 5-6. I won’t be shocked if he his booted, but I will be surprised. Escpecially if there is a pending SM lawsuit out there. Dan doesn’t need 2 disgruntled ex employees out there.

Two? By this time he probably has tons of disgruntled ex (& current) employees...

Sadly, those are the glory years for me to. I was too young to remember the Gibbs 1.0 era so Norv Turner to now is what represents Redskins football.

Wasn't it reported that Scotty Mac was of a mind that KC had reached his ceiling in late 2015. And had advised Snyder/Allen is wasn't worth franchise QB money? Also, Scotty Mac's FA signings and drafts haven't been hellified or anything special.

I'm of the same opinion as @SoCalWizFan. Snyder is the reason this team is totally fuckin discombobulated. Though I disagree with him far as Snyder not caring about winning. I believe he wants to win. He'd be insane not to. He'll never be loved like JKC was/is because Snyder's a fuckin ass0 who's already done too much shit in the past to be forgotten. It could be forgiven if the Skins became a winner again under Snyder's ownership. The disdain and disgust that we (Skins fans) now hold for Snyder would ease into a state of apathy and an acceptance of sorts. Like @kbso83432 says though, Snyder can't get out his own way

No - you are rt about Snyder wanting to win. However - he appears to not follow the blueprint that has worked successfully for others. This basically involves the owner having say so over contract approvals & little else in terms of personnel decisions. It involves hiring a solid personnel guy (not a numbers guy) to make those type of decisions & also allowing that guy to choose the coach. Everything with this team appears to be done backwards. I had the most hope when they hired SM since it appeared that they were finally doing things the rt way. That came to a collapse when Allen fired him, slandered him & basically didn't replace him. The whole Cousins contract fiasco just enhanced the drama.

At this time I think that Snyder's biggest fear may be fan apathy. Many of us have been through this so many times that we just won't care after a while. This is getting really old. I understand injuries & that things take time, but I at least want to see progress & get a feeling that this team is heading in the rt direction. I am not so sure about this any longer - we will see.

Going into yesterday, I would have said 3-4.

After yesterday, I would say 6-7.

Another performance like that, it goes to 8-9.

If yesterday is the season norm, he may not make it through because he would have lost the team.

Kind of the same line of thinking here but with a twist, hear me out. (6-7 currently)

Snyder seems to be the ultimate block in the road to success, however, that will not change unless he sells.
If Gruden has truly lost his team, which I believe he has after yesterday's performance, he may be asked to step aside before our last game with Callahan named interim coach. If this were to happen, Cousins will not resign as he and Gruden are tied at the hip. My consensus, we are looking for a new HC and DC after our last game.
