Full sized barely fits in the garage. Gentlemen, like me, keep their shit in the garage.

I ain't buying no gas truck ever again. 'Tis silly to get shitty mileage and have shitty pulling torque in a big truck. They wear out too fast and depreciate too fast compared to diesel as well.

So, with all I've seen, this is the best truck to buy now. However, I promised myself I'd never buy a GM product after they fucked us all out of 46 billion in that bankruptcy scam to bail their union. Fuck them.

2017 GMC Canyon
The 2017 GMC Canyon shares its diesel engine offering with its Chevy Colorado corporate sibling, and its performance stats are identical to the Colorado’s. However, you can spend a bit more money on the Canyon because two special models can be fitted with the diesel powertrain.

GMC’s Denali brand loads trucks with a host luxury car amenities. The Canyon Denali features 20-inch wheels, a distinctive grille, upscale leather seating, plus standard advanced safety equipment including forward collision warning and lane departure warning. You can expect to pay north of $43,000 for a Canyon Denali diesel.

New for 2017 is the Canyon All Terrain X, which has a base price of about $39,000 with the diesel engine before options and the destination charge. The package includes aggressive Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires, step bars for easy entrance into the cab, an upgraded suspension, additional underbody skid-plating, plus a host of interior and exterior design touches.

I picked up a 2017 Colorado (V6) in April and have been pleased thus far. Will see how the winter goes and the 4x4 capability. With my commute, I'm currently averaging over 21 mpg, and while a step down from my previous Altima I sold before changing jobs/commute, it's better than what I expected with the truck.

I've been thinking about those.
But will probably go with the F250 with the 6.4 gas 6speed automatic

What, they don't make a 6.5L gas?

And why don't they put more gears in those big ass trucks? Even my cheap Grand Cherokee has the 8 speed and gets 30mph on the highway.

Nothin'. Maybe a center console on a trailer.

The Ecoboost has more torque than the small V8. It really makes sense...surprised you could figure that out with a weak education.

Well
It will last me forever.
Might be the last vehicle I ever buy.

A Chevy or a Fiat won't last 5 years.

Does one of these qualify? Yea, I get it. TRUCKS ONLY!!

01-2018-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-Trackhawk-NYIAS-KBB.jpg

Yeah, that's what I drive now. It's not bad, but the back area is absolutely fucked from hauling gas cans, fertilizer, potted plants, stank ass tennis shoes, etc.
I have to face the reality that it's truck time.

I'm leasing the GC through my biz. However, if I bought it I sure would have chosen the ecodiesel option. The resale is way, way above gas and it's a nice engine.

Ford is coming back with the Ranger around this time next year, and I believe they're also offering the diesel. Personally...I'd never get a diesel - you spend far more up front and to get back the cost, you have to drive the thing to Pluto and back. Maintenance costs further weigh you down.

The new Nissan Titan’s with the Diesel engine can be hand for just a little over 30k if you don’t need all the bells and whistles. Still comes with cruise, 4x4 if you want it, automatics everything, push start, and a HUD with Bluetooth.

Probably right. That's what a client told me about his new TOYota. That thing is a beast.

So far mine has been. That thing can roll and tow. I was impressed with it when we were doing our remodel as I was pulling large amounts of ceramic tile and equipment.

I open a thread about "trucks" and so far no one has mentioned or posted a photo a real truck yet :L

The crap you boys are gushing over is fine for bringing a couple of bags of trash to the landfill or going to the grocery store. Sorry though, they are not trucks, they are your wife's station wagon with the back half of the roof carved off.

The obvious question you nitdipshits are not asking is what the hell do you need?

I need to drive and go see customers N shit in Oklahoma West TX and Houston. Dallas is about 3-5 hours away from all of them. I don't need a 250 or some huge monstrosity.

I need some off road but it's mostly rock and clay in Arkansas where I do most of that shit. I need to pull a boat. Need decent highway miles. Haul some shit if I need to

F150 eb is all I need. And the 2016 platinum has a dam massage chair in the front

Now post some pics of your big truck and send the little dick pics to @BigRedMoe. Don't be scared

Ahhh...here we go. Glad a took a few to figure this out:

2018 Ford F-150 Revealed with Diesel Power – News – Car and Driver

Yes, diesels cost more to buy. However, the cost of a vehicle is not what you pay! The cost is a function of the annual depreciation plus the operating cost.
Not only are diesels cheaper, when properly accounted, but they last a lot longer. Of course, it has to be a good engine - what as quiet and smooth as the gas options and with much better mileage and torque.
