lol

no effing way. both are fucked. irving wanted to be here and was told this is his team. IT was caught completely off guard by the trade. shit, a few weeks back they were talking how long to extend him for.

irving saw this coming. IT didnt, at all.

he and crowder cant come back here...remember the crowder/hayward thing?

Different levels though.

Kyrie has said he will not report to Cleveland at all. IT doesn't have that option, because he is a free agent next summer and coming off substantial injury. He must play, and play hard for whoever has him under contract. Otherwise he will cost himself millions upon millions of dollars.

I would say Boston has little to no chance of resigning IT now if they wanted to, but if they decide to bring him back next year, he has no choice but to play his best basketball. Even if his heart isn't fully in it.

And then they can deal him at the TD when he proves he's healthy and still playing well.

Agreed.

It would be a mistake to trade him now. They can't Get anything for him until he proves his health.

i know that, and i get it...

he lost any trust here he has with everyone from the medical staff to ainge. yeah, he has something at stake...

i could see him just deciding to sit until the celtics re-trade him somewhere. i mean, shit...he could opt for surgery and say "fuck you danny".

he has that much pride.

Kyrie has said he will not report to Cleveland at all.

A lot of headlines twisted it into that, but here's what that (anonymous) source actually said...

"Irving let it be known that he would rather not report to training camp"

how someone could get from an anonymous source saying Kyrie might not report---- to---- "Kyrie said he will not report" is beyond me.

Apparently not a very good one as much time as he has to argue trivia on here.

Not yet. If 10 am Thursday comes around without Cavs voiding or Celtics agreeing to deadline extension... the deal will go through.

You are getting caught up in semantics. My post wasn't even about Kyrie. It was about IT and why his situation isn't nearly the same. Kyrie has leverage, IT doesn't. That is if he even wants to be traded at this point (he probably does).

One line of my post was a bit exaggerated. Not made up. And yes, you are being a dick. @gordontrue already clarified it.

No news yet.

Cleveland is still dragging things out... hoping to extort an asset or two. It's been days now... no other explanation for it, this is all on the Cav's.

Sh!t or get off the pot.

The Celtics only chance at a title is in the hands of a rookie gm walking away from raping Danny ainge in his first deal....not an ideal scenario
