Nobody has a kind word to say about him. When Team USA would travel you’d never see him out with the rest of the team. Almost every episode of his pod is him solo because nobody wants to go on it. He’s a cvnt

His buddy Lebron yet to go on it either lol

The fact that a guy who hates him like you do is aware of the details of his podcast guests is more proof of how much money he’s going to make as a media pundit

Im a big podcast guy so I know about podcast people don’t. His podcast is as bad as skip imo. People don’t watch podcast just to see/hear 1 person talking. If he was serious about his pod, he would go the Paul George/Pat Bev route and have a cohost

No doubt! That’s the game today. I never said he would fail. He’ll be very successful. He’s just going to be best served as a hot take guy. That’s good news for him because that’s what sports media has become anyway.

They don't want to directly prove how much worse the NBA is than the NFL.

They could have both shows on at the same time.

It's not a channel, it's just a stream.

When it comes to advertising dollar math, 12 million <<< 11 + 1 million.

Amazon and NBC wouldn’t want to split their viewership like that. It literally would just be stealing their own ratings.

A) watch nfl
B) watch nba
C) do a million other things

C is always greater than A+B. By going head to head the illusion of the importance of any singular regular season basketball game is threatened. The biggest risk to live advertising dollars is people not caring about missing out. When the NFL is on opposite, it proves the nba doesn't matter.

For those following along, if WBD matches anything, they will try to match the Amazon portion of the deal. Everyone I've read that knows what they're talking about says its likely a long shot they'll be able to successfully retain if they do go thru matching. Lots of legal and cost reasonings

I am not sure Amazon can sue here, the right to retain for TNT was in the contract. Amazon tried to prevent matching by putting a ton of the money into escrow in the hopes that TNT would not have the money to match.

It won't be Amazon. The NBA is gonna say TNT doesn't have matching rights because its not for the full aspects of the deal, they are trying to argue they can match based on money. So there will be litigation to determine the full meaning of "matching".

I get that the NBA brings in revenue for WBD but they got bent over the coals here. Not only are they paying a shit ton more than they previously were but they’re getting less content due to the NBC deal.
