New Disney Format

Anyone try it yet....it seems really goofy. Posts are not in chronological order, no promised "ignore" feature. Busy design.

I'm not going to pile on Disney, as they're trying to do something right I guess, but damn, no chronological order? I love this forum for many reasons, not the least is the "see first unread" feature. Common sense, no?

Thanks for that, but I'm already officially done with Disney. Can any of us learn a single thing posting/reading there? Can we enjoy following the team any more doing it with those idiots?

Perhaps EPSN wanted to kill it, so as to be out of the message board business.

I suppose some folks will adapt. Like MSG, I am done with them. Especially since Nolan is still posting his "Giants are the third best team in the NL West" diatribes. And they have nothing that compares to this-->

Nah, too many eyeballs to kill it. Further if they really did want to get rid of the message boards, they'd just do it...not spend money to revamp it.

The one compelling feature is "auto-update". That is great for gameday threads - assuming it updates in a timely manner. Though the lack of multimedia capability means it can't compete with this forum for me.

As currently constructed, BOT spammers will have a field day with that forum.

I was kinda afraid to check it out after reading all the horrible comments, but I did end up browsing a little bit at the new site. I didn't post. The whole loading thing is annoying. Also, I don't like how hitting the back button does not bring you to last page but rather to the main forum page.

Thank God we have this place. However, I wonder where I will post when I want to talk to fans of other teams. I only posted on the MLB main board at ESPN. I gave up on the Giants team board long ago.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. At the MLB main board on ESPN, people were talking about where they will end up going since they disliked the new boards so much. I felt like suggesting Sports SportsHoopla but then I quickly remembered that I swore an oath not to reveal the location of this board. We are kinda like Robin Hood and the band of Merry Men.

I invited Epic_Voidfield. He knew some of the regulars on the old Sharks board so he has some longevity (and good tastes ). Plus he's funny as shit. I think he truly is a lurker at heart though unfortunately.....but hopefully he'll post here as well.

If we invite people, what are the minimum standards? They must be pretty low, Cal invited me over here.

I checked in once today over there, and it is more of the same drivel. Wonder if it will improve with an actual game day thread. Then again, who am I kidding?

Yes. Tito got banned from there for a few days last week. He had gone off - attacking others for being "ignorent," not being able to handle the truth. Same shit, different site - that's his karma.

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines that their are common trolls that post in the Giants forum and the 49ers forum (NolanNonsense and Cazic to name two), once they find the 49er forum they may start wandering over here, so a heads up.
