That sucks about Ross. The way this team is playing we might have to explore trading Darvish too at the deadline unless we get some reliable re-assurances.

Ross was moved to the 60 day just to open a spot on the 40-man roster. He still will be back very soon and then they will have to make another 40 man roster move.

I know some have wondered who would fill out the rotation if we are sellers at the deadline. Even if we traded Cashner, Ross and Darvish there are enough guys to fill in. We would still have Hamels, Martin, Griffin, Martinez, Gee, Mendez,Sadzeck and Jurado. We also might have an upper level minor leaguer or two that we get in the deadline trades that we could put out there. Then there are always guys like Bass, Webster, and Gamboa. Even Bibens-Dirkx has started 3 games this year. It wouldn't be pretty some nights, but that wouldn't matter too much at that point. Who knows, all of the auditions might help us to find a decent starter or two.

I'm starting to hope this team loses until July 31st so that we trade our assets away for prospects. It's probably better than the alternative at this point. Would be nice to keep Beltre and Darvish tho.

I don't think this team is good enough to even get one of the wild cards

Strike out too much, pitchers walk too many guys, key injuries, poor coaching etc.
