Yah the age is what gets me too. He's 36 and will be closer to 37 going into this season. His best season was far and away last season... so we'll see if he can duplicate that at his age.

Tom Brady will be 39 so not implying a QB can't get it done at that age, but I don't think I'd lump Palmer and Brady (or Manning) in the same category either. Brady/Manning have shown a great deal of amazing seasons... where Palmer has shown only a few and now with the game footage available of a QB just kind of coming into "Oh... this guy is someone we can't take lightly" he may have trouble duplicating that success.

Agreed 100% both teams are stacked though. Outside of Wilson/Palmer there's a ton of support on both teams. Good WR groups, question marks at RB but looks promising, defenses are both great. I'll give Arizona the nod on O-Line and the passing game for sure. Seattle probably gets the SLIGHT nod on rush attack and defense. Realize Cards got Robert in the 1st but Reed in the 2nd (who could've been a 1st) is just as good. Both just do separate things. Robert if he gets his head on right could be a pass rush nightmare and Reed looks to be a complete shut down DT on any sort of run game (big against Gurley in our division).
I agree with most of what you said, but the Cards rushing attack is really good. David Johnson was a beast last year as a rookie and Chris Johnson was a top 3 rusher until he got injured. Throw Ellington on top of that and you have a very solid 3 headed monster. I have to give the rushing edge to the Cards. A push at the least.

Until the Cards show me a pass rush with their new additions, Seattle has the edge on defense. I also give the edge to Seattle on special teams.

Based on just the current situation I have the Cards taking the top spot this new season. We all know that can change on a dime. One reason to point out is the 'Hawks running game. Had a gem free agent pickup with beast Mode but not there anymore.

I find it amazing that these two teams are almost mirror image of each other. The only real difference his the age difference at QB.

If does drop back, it won't just be a bit, it will be significant. That's just how it is with QBs when the hits add up. Looking at his arm strength last year makes me think he's got more gas in the tank than your average 37 year old QB, so I doubt that cliff is this year. But whenever it comes, it'll be swift.

If Palmer starts playing like PM of last season, he most def hit the wall. I too agree with you, I don't see it happening yet.

This is what we call Beast Mode passing the torch.

I'm gonna say either Arizona or Seattle and walk away. I really don't know, as it's to close to call.

Packer fans have to just be sickened by the NFC West over the past few years. I believe the Seahawks, Niners and Cards have knocked them out of the playoffs in recent history.
And we enjoyed the hell out of it.

:wtf:
Carson has only been seriously injured twice in his career. Not sure where the idea that he is fragile comes from...

Only 2 seasons of 16 games played in the last 5 = fragile.

This is a bullshit post. He was only injured one year in the past 5. Know the facts before you post nonsense.

In 2011 - No Injury -he was benched for Dalton and then traded to the Raiders mid year where he played all 10 games

In 2012 - He played 15 games. In Week 16 he was pulled for a rib injury. He could have come back in, but the Raiders were already cooked so there was no reason.

In 2013 - No Injury - Played all 16

In 2014 - ACL

In 2015 - No Injury - Played all 16

Palmer has played 15 or more games in a season 9 times. That is not exactly what I would call injury prone.

15 implies an injury.

In 2015 - No Injury - Played all 16

So, in other words:

2012: Injured, but luckily at the end of the season
2013: Not injured
2014: Major injury
2015: Not injured

So I was off by one season. Missing one game is still an injury.

Says the guy that can't resist posting in EVERY thread that even mentions Seattle.

Oh the irony.
This is the first time the Seahawks have even crossed my mind in a considerable amount of time.

Which ever does better will most likely win the division:

Seattle with a worse Oline than last year
Palmer staying healthy

You guys are obsessed with us.
Are you sure about that?
I am aware the NFCW has collectively kicked GB's ass over the last few years. It would be my guess that GB fans would pay much more attention to the NFCW than the NFCW fans paying much attention to GB.
Your earlier comment in this thread illustrates my position.
