I personally thought we should've been 23-25 after last week... but now we're 5-0 with a win in Eugene.

How big of a jump do you expect? I say 17 or 18 realistically though it should be higher.

Arizona will be 9; Ducks will be 10.

I suspect Arizona will be ahead of Michigan State and Oregon. A lot depends on how some of the SEC teams play as there are several games with ranked teams playing each other. IMO, Arizona could end up 7-8; again depending on who loses. My upset alerts go out to Notre Dame and TAM.

Hard to imagine the pollsters moving a team from outside the rankings all the way into the top 10.

They'll fall around 14-16th I bet.

If that's the case, I suspect you have Oregon going from #2 to outside the top 15?

Oregon needs to drop to around 13th.

They should be right around Arizona in the polls because in reality that's just how good they looked.

Just because Arizona beat Oregon doesn't mean the pollsters will move them ahead of Oregon.

Take into consideration what Arizona had done leading into this game. They won their games, but showed poorly in them.

Last night they played great though.

Still, people will be on the fence a bit about who this Arizona team really is.

For me, it all depends on what MSU does. If MSU loses badly to Nebraska, it's clear that Oregon never was a top team. Then Arizona will be a team who beat a solid but unelite team and needed a Hail Mary to beat a subpar team. If MSU wins, it gives Oregon (and hence the win last night) a lot of credence.

I could see Arizona anywhere from 8 to 18 on my poll next week depending on how this week goes. I give a lot of credit to road wins, so if I were to guess, I'd say 10 or 11. I don't think they are the tenth best team, but it's tough to argue they haven't earned that ranking the last 5 quarters.

If they played in the SEC they would be top 15

Hell, they would have been top 15 already. What SEC team could possibly be 4-0 and not be ranked?? They'd be top 10 after that win...haha, they'd jump to #6 and Oregon would fall to #7.

Arizona looks to be a top 20 team, maybe top 15 when all is said and done.

I don't think it matters much at all what MSU does. Oregon is a super talented team that had a bad game. Every team has one of those throughout the year. National champions figure a way to squeak out a win on those days is all.

will oregon even be ranked when they lose to ucla next week?

That one and Stanford are the two I had penciled in for the ducks to lose before the season began.

The AZ loss is just icing on the cake.

I could see them dropping out after a UCLA loss, but they'll be back at some point. Got them @ 9-3 now when it's all said and done.

Would be great if Alabama and A&M lost too. Would take care of all the annoying fanbases on the hoop.

You might be right; And with the beating Mariota took last night, he has to be more careful or he will be out for the season. For my money, he is the main reason that offense does so well. His O-line isn't doing him much good.

Arizona may not have won in dominant fashion against Cal, but scoring 36 points in one quarter is pretty legit no matter who the opponent is. That comeback win should be viewed as a positive more than a negative imo.

Yes, they shouldn't have put themselves in that position, but a win is a win. Solomon is definitely a second half QB.
