Where should Arizona be ranked?

Oregon being #2 after that embarrassment at WSU was a total and complete joke. Massively overrated team that shows just how broken the ranking system is IMO. And Zona should have been ranked before this.

Having said that, I'd say zona ends up 13-15 or so and Oregon 8-12. That's how they do things. Takes a complete blow out to drop out of the top 10 when you are #2.

Take back what I said earlier about this being the only game I root for zona. Go get that one done too. Honestly I think that's a tougher game, but seeing Sark lose would be awesome.

How big of a jump do you expect? I say 17 or 18 realistically though it should be higher.

I think 17-18 also. Have to be top 20 with the votes we already had, but I can't see us top 15 with our resume. Also depends a lot on what happens this weekend. Lots of shaking up coming.

15-18 sounds right, but if they we're tSEC, they would also get the "grity win" tag by ESPN and it's pollsters. Thus they would be 10-15.

I understand they got a big win here tonight, but lets not forget that Arizona needed a miracle hailmary to beat Cal...they beat the University of Texas at San Antonio by 3 points...They beat Nevada by 1 TD.

Oregon has already struggled against Washington St. this season.

Really not trying to take away from a great win by the Wildcats, but I think top 10 is crazy talk. And before anyone says anything, I don't agree with the rankings of some SEC teams either...

And because of this, both teams out of the top 10 rankings.

The question is where will they be ranked by the end of the season. I'm impressed with what RR is doing out there, but I think they still lose 2-3 games this year. That's an impressive improvement from years past out there

And this is why the first polls of the year should come out around week 5. We get a few conference games in and have something to look at or analyze. I wonder what the polls would look like without all the preconceived ideas of what teams "should" be (preseason rankings) compared to what we have seen on the field through 5 weeks of play.

You are undefeated and just beat the supposed #2 team in the country in their house...

But... As has been alluded to here already, those are IN conference games and if it were the SEC they wouldn't be penalized for close games against their own conference, but in this case you're saying they should be?

There's gonna be at least 7 ranked teams with a loss this week.

Oregon was being pumped pretty hard by ESPN before the game last night. I say Zona will be ranked number 12.

I don't believe in transitive property/common opponent rankings. Flawed beyond belief. But, we have 2 teams:

* Same conference
* Team A is 5-0, Team B is 4-1
* Team A beat Team B at Team B's house.

Pretty easy logic there, imo.

oregon last night is not the same team that beat msu.....ahead of zona sure, but msu not so much. id put them both just outside the top ten.
