At the this rate Edmunds gone after next year and Fuller the year after. But it is way early. We can only hope they work out that well. :)

Wow. Thanks for crunching those numbers grad. I didn't really think about it, but if this kids can continue to perform the way they did in game 1 (McLaughlin, Edmunds, Fuller, Facyson, among others) the future is very very bright.

I know this is way, way too early...

but if some of the guys we have and are still actively recruiting work out, VT could have a sick team 2 or 3 years down the road. There is a very high ceiling for alot of the kids we have pulled in the last 2-3 years (Fisher, Jefferson, Teller..just to name a few).

Fisher and Jefferson still have to qualify, don't they? It's still no guarantee they even make it to campus after prep.

True, but I have faith. I think Fisher was pretty close before FUMA.

Looking at our depth chart...I like the fact that we have multiple RB's who have had some WR experience. When Spurrier was at FL he used to recruit RB's to play WR and get the ball to them on WR screens or short routes and let them rack up the YAC. I feel we might be able to create our offense as a mixture of this with some read option and standard drop back passes to our other receivers.

I also noticed that Mark Shuman is now avaliable for limited contact so could there be a chance the Wyatt Teller is moved back to the dline this season...or will we just hope he will be back on the dline next year. Its pretty amazing that we have a starting true freshman at LT with a true freshman backing him up...add to the fact that we have 5 more OL recruits coming down the pipeline for next season as well.

We hope Teller never goes back to DL...

I say put him wherever he is going to help the team the most..and help himself the most. It has been said by many film junkies that the sky is the limit at OT for him. He could play there behind Gibson next year, possibly start as a RS sophomore..and slide over to LT when McLaughlin leaves. He will not play at DE so DT is the other option...the future is very bright there, hopefully with some more great ones coming in. DL has never been a glaring weekness...ever. OL on the other hand, there have been some godo ones and some not so good ones.

Lord knows we could use him in the GT game....he was a beast last year in that game. He did a good job dodging the chop blocks!

Barring injury, I'd like to see Marshall redshirt and start at end the next 2 years.

Hope this works out best for everyone.

I think it will, as long as he stays at VT. Gonna be losing a lot along the DL the next 2 years, it will be great to have him in 2014 and 2015.

omg I totally forgot about Chase Williams... how many snaps on defense has he played this year, I don't ever remember hearing his name called. It still would have been a nice battle to watch in spring, Williams and DVD.

Hate to hear that about DVD. Wasn't he and Williams going to battle for MLB when Tyler leaves??

I am kinda torn on the Marshall redshirt. It will be nice to have him for a couple more years (hopefully).
