unless he's going to be playing both sides of the ball that is

Seems like they're saying he'll play both sides.

I'd like to see it... He might have better hands and better hips/twist/jump than some of our WR corps.

I don't care if he plays some WR. What I don't like is Exum is taking his spot at corner. Facyson is killing it right now. Let him do his thing. Work Exum in elsewhere in the secondary.

No better place for Exum than where he's at. I don't think he would be any better than Fuller, Jarrett, or Bonner at their spots. I think Exum and Facyson will be splitting reps pretty evenly. Facyson is as good of a freshman CB as you are going to find, but he still isn't perfect yet. I like the WR move as long as it isn't a ridiculous amount of snaps there for relatively little output. It is good for a CB to get better affiliated with the spot he will be wrecking havoc on for the next two years.

I agree with the coaches' strategy of starting off at 50/50 and working Exum back in at quarterback. While Facyson will be better, it is hard to argue that he is better than a player that projects to be a starter in the NFL based on his current draft stock. We may lose some ball skills with Exum, but he has the physical tools to match up with any WR, and our line is good enough that we aren't totally dependent on turnovers. We are pretty good at making them go 3 and out too.

Exum will not dress tomorrow, his own choice, wants to give the knee more time

hope when his knee is 100%, his mind is too....coming off an injury like that, i'm sure it's going to mess with him to a degree

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Zack McCray's decision to graduate in December and move on from football. Gotta respect his decision to put family first, since he is expected a child sometime soon.

It's on his twitter that he will graduate in December, is expecting a child, and is looking for a full time job. But I originally saw the news in a free post on the VT 247 page.

Hadn't heard that either. If that is the case, then congratulations to him on his degree and his child to be. It is unfortunate he hasn't exactly worked out with the team, but have never heard about him complaining about his lack of PT or role with the team.
