Truth is, no one will care about the trade if the QB does well.

Rarely are big trades win win...if Wentz/Goff play well and the franchise turns around...chances are TN will blow the picks and we'll be talking about that angle in 5 yrs.....think DAL/MIN with Herschel, or CLE/ATL with Julio, then RG3

In order for the trade to be worth it, Wentz has to be on Mariota and Winston's level from last year
I think 3 years from now, he's better than either. JMO. Gurley will be enormous for his development

I'm pretty skeptical. Rams oline has holes at LT and C, the Rams have no starting level Tight Ends and Tavon Austin is a short yardage guy and Wentz's weakness is short yardage accuracy.

Good point regarding big trades being debated ad finitum.

With a back like Gurley, Wentz will be able to push the ball down field off play action. I think they gave up a ton, but they are getting a stud. Now, if they take Goff, fire everyone

PFF actually has Goff as the safer bet. Not that PFF is always right but its hard to say for sure if Wentz is a stud. The Rams could certainly ruin him.

Wrong,

with a cannon for an arm, strangely Wentz’s greatest strength might be the shorter stuff. He ranked second in the class in adjusted completion percentage at the intermediate (11-20 air yards) range with 70.7 percent, and he completed 80.1 percent of passes under 10 yards.

Wentz has more bigger upside.

The competition he faced is by no means the Power-5, let alone the NFL, but the bottom line is that on a play-by-play basis he out-graded any quarterback in this class. With the tools he has, he’ll be practically irresistible to teams chasing that elite quarterback prospect. Jared Goff may be the safer pick, but Wentz is the potential jackpot prospect — and of course you never win the jackpot without a little bit of a gamble.

The oline will be strength soon imo, they gave up 18 sacks last year not to mention one of the better running teams with two rookies starting and trash at center.

The only problem I have with the trade is that he will be on the field at some point this season for the Rams .That could ruin him. I traded up for him, because I believe that while he isn't ready today, if he could sit behind a veteran for a couple of years, he has a chance to be a great player

:trash: Statistics based on playing whoever the f*#$ North Dakota St plays

I like Wentz as a prospect but the Rams offense has had issues every year Fisher has been there.

That is true, Warner played garbage teams in college too.

Wouldn't that be the ultimate fan explosion when they take that number 1 and draft Tunsil???
