So far I'm leaning a bit toward Mike Shildt or Fredi Gonzalez, but no arguing Espada's stint as bench coach for one of the best run and most productive teams in the game. He's gotta be doing something right. And as far as I'm concerned, regardless who gets the nod, he should have 100% say in hiring his own staff, even if that means completely cleaning house.

White Sox Odds Of Hiring Joe Espada Just Increased

The Miami Marlins are reportedly hiring Skip Schumaker as their manager. Which eliminates the White Sox's biggest competitor for Joe Espada.

Looks like the Marlins hired Skip Shumaker to take the reins. Apparently or so it seems Espada had the inside track on the job. Not any longer. We'll just have to wait and see where this leads, but it does appear that we're the frontrunners now to land him.

It appears the Sox are waiting until after the WS. I still think the Hahn pick would be Espada and I would like that.
