Seems like a pretty good trade for both sides. If Bledsoe tries.

Not a good trade for Phoenix. They got a salary dump and a couple late picks.

Then again, had they not aggressively torpedoed Bledsoe's trade value prior to moving him, they would have gotten a much better return.

Wow, this was exactly what I predicted would happen. Bucks salary dump washed up center who's eating up 17 mil of salary and give them a 2018 pick but only if the pick is late in the first round. Now the bucks are stacked with a 20 + ppg scorer at each position except center but they have two players with talent and potential.

PG Bledsoe
SG Middleton
SF Greek God
PF Parker
C Thon Maker

Sixth man Brogdon

Brogdon could easily win the sixth man of the year award.

Unfortunately, the move doesn't improve their defense.

Haven't seen Monroe in while, but last I saw him he was being misused by the Bucks. I think that he should still have some good play in him and hopefully the change of scenery will help get him going. I liked Monroe as a Piston and hope he makes this trade pay off for the Suns.

Sounds like they are rerouting him elsewhere.

Unless someone gives them a first or a young prospect, epic fail for the Suns.

Easily? Nope. Might be in the running but there are a few guys just as good if not better.

Maybe not easily but his numbers are similar to previous winners. His efficiency numbers are off the charts for a second year PG. The real question is how many minutes will he receive and can he still be as good with a more limited role His PER is 16.5 which is outstanding.

Jordan Clarksons stats are better and has a PER of 21.7

Tyreke Evens' stats are even better than both of them and has a PER of 23.2

So no shame in coming 3rd

WTF happened to Tyreke. With the numbers he posted as a rookie people were thinking he was the next Kobe.

This a GREAT spot for Bledsoe. Bucks have no excuses to underachieve now, especially if Parker comes back as good as he was last year. They should be a legit contender

Suns don't need him though. He will only stunt the growth of their young frontcourt players. Len, Bender and Criss could all lose PT.

Essentially, they trade a good player at a position where they have little depth for a mediocre player at a position where they have legit young talent. The picks are little more than minor assets because the first will likely be in the low 20s.

Yeah.

Brogdon is a very good player. He isn't likely to post the numbers needed to win him 6th man of the year though.

Now, if Bledsoe were willing to come off the bench, he just might.

Am I reading this right?

"Milwaukee will send its 2018 first-round pick to Phoenix if it lands between Nos. 11 and 16. If the pick carries beyond 2018, the Suns get a loosening of protections in 2019 (Nos. 4 to 16), 2020 (Nos. 8 to 30) and 2021, when the pick would come unprotected. The Suns will get the Bucks' 2018 second-round pick if it lands between Nos. 48 and 60. Otherwise, the Bucks keep the pick."

It looks to me like Phoenix likely won't even get the pick until 2020. So hopefully Milwaukee sucks by then but there's a good chance it's a late 1st rounder and 3 drafts from now.

Yeah.

Milwaukee could be in the NBA Finals by 2020. Barring injury they should almost certainly be a top 3 seed by then.
