Yeah,

Bortuzzo > Orpik

No doubt.

Completely agree. I personally don't see how Orpik can be brought back next season. With all the young guys we have that are better options that him, I wouldn't do it. Hopefully his cap hit off the books next season can free some money to give a fair offer to Niskanen.

Agreed, no need to bring Orpik back. I would also buyout Scuderi.

That would be awesome, but I think I read somewhere that because his deal was signed after the new CBA that we will not be able to be bought out. I might be wrong on that but I believe that's what I read.

Yeah, Orpik has been really good this series I think. Scuds not so much.

I bet the scuderi contract will prevent the Pens from resigning Brooks too. Somebody will overpay for him

They tried to give the game to CBJ...when will they realize they need to play a whole game?!

And a traffic cone on the ice is better than Scuds...

Yohe says that both Sutter and Vitale were both celebratory in the locker room after the game. That sounds positive, hopefully they can both make it back for the next series.

I think the loss of Vitale and Sutter really hurt the Penguins in the third. It mean Adams and Glass had to be on the ice more, we pretty much had to split up Crosby and Malkin, and it ultimately tired everyone out faster. Not an excuse, but a bit of an explanation.

Also, Scuderi was on the ice way too much in the third. I understand the sentiment of trying to save to other guys some minutes and resting them up for the next round, but it wasn't really necessary, and I think it was a bad idea, especially with a chance to put the other team away.

Overall, I think Bylsma did a good job preparing for this game, making the right between-game adjustments, but that coaching gaffe almost cost them the game anyway (in part).

I think playing like the game was won and not trying to attack anymore and playing "prevent" even on the power play is what almost cost them the game. The hawks did that against the Blues in one game and it cost them...

they weren't tired...they had 10 minutes to go...this team doesn't want to play a full game...
