Might as well start. I got Rangers in 6 but it's almost totally random and any outcome including either team sweeping wouldn't surprise me. Rangers are better but not by much...Gallen Kelly 1-2 punch is perfect for a 7 game series, AZ pen better. Rangers obviously more bats, veteran ring winning manager, etc.

Gallen and Kelly are great, but Eovaldi and Montgomery are just as good, if not better considering Eovaldi excels in the playoffs. Gallen got lit up twice by Philly, so we'll have to see where his head is at.
Texas' lineup is significantly deeper than Philly's as well. The bullpen issues are real but being able to move a couple of starters into the pen has helped mitigate that decently.

I did pick Rangers in 6, just saying they aren't 'heavily' favored. Baseball playoffs are kinda random anyway.

So what's your prediction, Rangers in....?

Feels like the Rangers in 7. The Diamondbacks are better than their regular season record, imo, but the Rangers will get it done this time I think. This will be unironically a good World Series, regardless of what Nate Silver thinks.

Lived in Phoenix metro area for 4 years... so D-Backs became a 2nd team at the time and took in some ballgames. Will pull for D-Backs, but if Rangers win it is their 1st and will be happy for their fans.

Rangers in 5. I believe Texas' 9-deep lineup takes control of this series and hits home runs a plenty. Texas is the best in baseball against RHP and Arizona is overwhelmingly a right randed pitching squad. I also believe Eovaldi and Montgomery will go deep into games as they have been, at least six innings and will limit the exposure of the bullpen.
As long as we're not using Chapman much, the bullpen hasn't been nearly as bad in the postseason as in the regular season.

As good a guess as any.

A WS with a grand total of 1 trophy between the two organizations. When was the last time we had so little hardware represented in the Fall Classic?

Wish the Astros were in it.

I like rooting against shitty franchises like Texas ever winning one.

So, go Dbacks!

You dont need the Stros in there to do that. Like I dont hate them for the cheating scandal I just hate how the fans refused to admit that they did something. Instead of saying year that was a bad thing and moving on they kept defending it. so its hard to stay indifferent to the Astros.

I like them because they cheat.

Glad the Tigers hired Hinch, cuz he is willing to cheat. I’m pro cheating. Spit balls, spider tack, corking bats, PEDs, even George Brett’s excessive pine tar is cool with me.

Only guy I don’t like from that Houston team is Mike Fiers.
