Solid win tonight. There was nothing cheap about that effort. It was good to see MAF not get rattled and I liked the willingness to just put pucks on net. I still have no clue what's up with Sid and Geno and it didn't look like it got any better tonight.

Now that was a very solid game:hammer::hammer:

That was a good game Fleury was great bot Bobrovsky was better. If the Pens want to put this away in 6 they will need to do the same. Puck control and blast Bobrovsky with a ton of shots with the hope more go in. On the other hand it would be nice if Crosby or Malkin score a goal.

Heard a stat that the Pens are 3-7 in last 10 playoff series since winning the cup. Nicely done Abysmal and core team of Letang, Skid, Flower and Malkintent. That's the theme. Assistant coaches have come and gone...top players and head coach still here...something needs to change.

I'm not sure how they could have lost 7 playoff series since they last won the cup. Didn't they win the cup in 2009? That would make it only 4 seasons they have lost in the playoffs.

2010 Montreal
2011 Tampa
2012 Philly
2013 Boston.

Maybe only won 3 out of 7 series? I would have to look it up to be sure.

Time to close the series with a strong effort and statement today like the Hawks did against the Blues.

Go Pens!

Yeah scouty, no need for a game 7. Just end the series tonight!

3rd period Sid last game looked so much better, he had a burst that has yet to be shown this series, but we all know he has when he is going well. Malkin on the other hand still needs pick it up, unbelievable for him to have so few shots.

I don't like Sid/Malkin together either, I'd probably go with Jokinen - Sid - Neal and Kunitz - Malkin - Stemp just to change it up.

I like having Goc back. Dude really is a defensive forward which is much needed. Love the Goc. Pens don't lose in the playoffs when he plays!

Definitely helps the center depth, and anyone who says faceoffs aren't important, look at the numbers, and how the Pens possessed the puck by winning a ton of faceoffs.

I think everyone is spot on. We need to end this tonight, letting Columbus get a win in their own place only gives them confidence going into game 7. I think we have what it takes to get the win tonight, we just need to play our game and put lots if rubber on Bob. If we can do that, we'll be on to round 2 presumably against the Rangers. Let's go Pens!

Really good first period. Geno looked dominant. Play like this for three periods, and we're on to round 2.

Only thing stopping us from round 2 is another letdown after going up 2+ goals.

Well I like the way Bortuzzo has played the last two games. It will be a shame to see him sit when Orpik is healthy.
