Tyreek Hill was arrested on Thursday night just before midnight on a domestic abuse complaint after a 20-year-old woman went to the hospital with some pretty serious-sounding injuries.

Here are the details:

“The victim stated the suspect struck her in the face and stomach and choked her during the assault. The victim’s injuries were consistent with her statements. She was treated for her injuries and released from the hospital.”

Yikes.

If this is proven to be true then he’s obviously…(as he’ll always be remembered)…gone.

Oklahoma State football player Tyreek Hill, one of the Cowboy heroes during last week’s Bedlam victory at Oklahoma, remains jailed on a complaint that he assaulted his 20-year-old girlfriend.

According to a Stillwater Police Department report, Hill was arrested based upon probable cause for domestic abuse – a felony punishable by one to three years in prison and/or a $3,000 fine.

The report indicates that at 9:39 p.m. Thursday, officers arrived at the Stillwater Medical Center emergency room to investigate a reported domestic assault and battery. The woman’s statement indicated that she and her boyfriend – identified as the 20-year-old Hill – had been arguing at Hill’s residence and that it escalated into a physical altercation.

The woman claimed to have been struck by Hill on the face and stomach, and she told police that he also had choked her. The release indicates that “the victim’s injuries were consistent with her statements,” and adds that she was treated and released from the hospital. According to a report filed by an investigating officer, “(the woman) said she and Hill began dating around June of this year and she is eight weeks pregnant with his child. (The woman) was very concerned about her pregnancy due to Hill punching her in the stomach.”

A Stillwater police media release reported that officers contacted Hill at his residence shortly after 11 p.m. Hill was transferred to the Payne County jail and, as of 10:45 Friday morning, was still in custody. His arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

According to the police report, Hill said "he was being arrested for being black and she was white."

More from the Stillwater police report: “(The woman) said Hill ‘threw’ her around like a ragdoll. . . . (The woman) said during the altercation, Hill had punched her in the face, busted her lip, punched her in the stomach and choked her. . . . She explained Tyreek has a volatile temper and that he thought it was OK to punch and choke her.”

With 45 seconds remaining in the fourth period of the Bedlam showdown in Norman, Hill scored on a 92-yard punt return that tied the score and sent the game to overtime. The Cowboys won 38-35, evening their overall record at 6-6 and securing a berth in the TicketCity Cactus Bowl. On Jan. 2, OSU is matched with Washington at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

It is not yet known whether Hill will be a participant in the bowl game. There has not been a statement released by OSU coach Mike Gundy or the university.

Hill, a track star who hails from Pearson, Georgia, and may be the fastest man in college football, was named the Big 12 special-teams player of the week. He scored kickoff-return touchdowns against Iowa State and Kansas, and he currently stands second in the Big 12 and 11th nationally in all-purpose yardage. Big 12 coaches voted Hill the league’s offensive newcomer of the year, and he was a member of the Associated Press’ all-conference team.

After two seasons at Garden City (Kansas) Community College, Hill signed with OSU after having been recruited also by Oklahoma, Alabama, Southern Cal, Baylor, Arkansas, Arizona State, Georgia, Nebraska and Tennessee, among others.

According to the police report, the victim said she and Hill began dating around June, 2014, and that she is 8-week pregnant with Hill's child. Police said the victim was very concerned about her pregnancy due to Hill punching her in her stomach.

The victim said this had happened before back in the summer, but she did not report it at the time. She said she had gotten into altercations with Hill before, but it has not been this bad, just a lot of "man handling" and that Hill has never hit her.

The victim also told police that Hill has a volatile temper and that he thought it was okay to punch and shake her. She said he had been very violent with her.

Hill was arrested shortly after 11 p.m. at his home. According to police, while being arrested, Hill said he was being arrested for "being black and she was white."

Police said Hill now faces one count of domestic abuse by strangulation, a felony punishable by one to three years of imprisonment and/or a $3,000 fine.

According to OSU's Cowboy Football page,Hill enrolled at OSU in January of 2014 and made an immediate impact by winning the Big 12 indoor title in the 200 meters and taking second in the 60 meters to help lead the Cowboy track and field program to its first Big 12 team championship.

Hill earned All-America status in the 200 meters with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships. He returned a Sooner punt to score in the final minute of Bedlam on Saturday, December 6.
