Talking last year Geno. He's got a higher average, but not too far off. And the 49ers offensive roster last year (and this year) are superior to Seattle. Seattle might be better in a couple once the younger crew get up to speed, but for now the 49ers offensive unit is still better.

Whatever, comparison aside, I think everyone with a functioning brain can agree Brock Purdy being MVP would be the dumbest MVP in NFL history.

I'm of the belief C Mac is the MVP of that team so I'm with you there.

I don't think Purdy is a plug in guy either though.

I said coming in that this game was likely to decide the MVP.

Purdy had an epically bad game. His MVP chances for this year are pretty much dead. The clear favorite right now if Jackson. But CMC still has a chance, depending on what happens in the next couple weeks, but that is definitely a long shot.

Purdy is NOW on pace to put up same stats as Geno... the difference is almost every position on the 49ers is BETTER than Seattle's and if Geno was on the San Fran 49ers last season he'd be performing the same if not better.
I'd say that would be the case for 2/3's of the QB's in the NFL... Helk, Zach Wilson would look so much better in that SF offense... 5-10 yard completions over the middle that result in 20+ plays over and over... We saw what happened last night when the Ravens finally took the middle of the field away from Purdy...

No way Lamar should win it.

the truth is MVP is a lazy reward that basically goes to one of the best teams qb. Based on the results on the field the last few weeks Lamar wins. My vote would be Hill or CMC. But he's currently in the clubhouse lead 4 strokes up on all the other qbs.

An entirely different discussion would be how many qbs would you take before you go to Lamar if you were starting a franchise?

Lamar only has 24 tds. McCaffrey has 21 himself. Still could be Tyreek, the missed game hurts, but the production in the rest is way ahead of anyone else.

Lamar's overall stats will be the talking point until this thing is settled and also the Ravens defense takes some of the spotlight as they should. But are the Ravens the top seed in the conference without Lamar? We could actually see a year where the voters say fuck the statistics and give it to him. Can't really argue with CMC getting it though. Either way, it really won't be a big deal. Could be a very close vote though. McNair/ Manning type of year?

And this weekend Ill be shocked if Miami upsets them.....
Thatll leave Tyreke out of the equasion, and leave Lamaar with a firm hold with one game left......

well if you refer to his running stats. Then it is important to include his 11 fumbles, not just the yards. Also No team would be a #1 seed without their starting QB. Thats not a Lamar thing.
