Also kind of off topic, but pretty interesting, I've got 4 mutual friends with Michael Conforto. All of them went to HS with him.

That wasn't just a lack of speed, that was just a poor damn decision by Seager. Not even someone with Dyson's speed should've headed home on that play.
Yeah, I for sure meant it was stupid to send him both times. This team does some stupid stuff on the base paths. This one was all coaches unless he went without even checking which I doubt.

I like that kid a lot. Teammates with Andrew Moore I believe? Passed on him for a high school catcher we turned into a...outfielder...then traded.

Haniger with mouth contusion aka bruise and "alert." -- taken off-site for further evaluation.
No broken nose or anything like that... so good news.

Dude is one tough kid after taking a 95MPH fastball to the face.

Actually a severe cut to the lip area and will go on DL per multiple reports. Still doing tests for concussion and such.

Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread:

I like that the M's called up Leonys Martin. He was playing too well in AAA not to give him another shot.

I'm starting to think that JD has vendettas against certain players. Leonys Martin clearly fixed his swing down in AAA a long time ago. There may not have been room for him on the roster at times, but we're still talking about a guy who is one of the better defensive CFs in baseball and has 30 SB ability. If anything he offers value as a defensive replacement or pinch runner.

Wow Nelson Cruz absolutely obliterated that baseball.

Looked like that was on it's way to the hotel across from the left field entrance.

The exciting thing about how Paxton is pitching is that he has always had this type of potential. Hopefully he can keep it going and avoid the injury bug.

Yeah, it's nice when he pitches... I feel like we're going to get the "W" when he does... If he can stay healthy, he'll be solid ace for us for the next few years...

It'd be so sweet if someone did hit the Silver Cloud. I swear Zunino was going to be the first but after Judge's HR I think he might be the first.

Couldn't remember if it was the Silver Cloud or not. That was the name that came to mind, but that place is so much nicer than 99% of Silver Clouds I almost thought I'd be wrong there.

What a great return game for Martin! As I said previously, I wish it was a sweep but at least we are back to the dreaded .500 before hitting the road. Looks like we will miss Darvish too as he's slated for a tuesday start. Gotta get the next series!

Pretty awesome to win the series and to see Paxton finish off a great month. Martin deserves some props also, fought his way back to the majors and had a pretty good return game.

Happy for him... really. Can't really imagine what it was like for him to be DFA'd but on top of that... to actually clear waiver! -- It's not easy to clear waiver unless you totally suck ass.
