I remember the first 25 years where expectations were nil and it made post game enjoyable. Then I saw about 4 good years in a 6 or 7 year stretch which 16 meaningless years later still gives me hope which only makes post games intolerable. Why? Why the hope? I can't answer myself that.

Same here. I wanted to give Jerry Dip the benefit of the doubt in trying to bolster the rotation and wanted to give Gonzales a chance, but I was wrong. The dude hasn't gone a full 5.0 IP since joining the M's... as a matter fact, hasn't done it all year. Matched his season worst with 3.1IP today. Jesus christ, this is by FAR the worst trade of the season and all of Dipoto's fucking trigger happy trades.

If we're 3 plus back when they're ready, I say just sit them the rest of the year... Felix won't really give us much more than what we've had, especially since he's been out for so long... I say just sit them..

What do you mean? Mariners brass made up a Rookie of the Year Award for him in April...and then traded their best prospect because he was the next Trout.

RJ, Griffey, ARod, Edgar immediately followed by Ichiro, Boone, Moyer, Edgar. We won't ever see that again no matter how much we wish for it. It's just too bad that when they were epically bad from 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010, they whiffed on all of their high draft choices and most of their FA acquisitions.

They have whiffed on about 37 out of 40 first picks.

Only 3 in my book they hit on:
1- Griffey
2- AFraud
3- Tino Martinez

And 2 of those 3 were #1 overall so...
