Collins and that "coaching" staff have to go. Bottom line.

:gaah:

Terry Collins said Jeurys Familia came to the staff and wanted to pitch today. Collins suggested it should not have even been a save situation. The Mets should have driven in more runs.

Terry Collins said he knew Yoenis Cespedes would be intentionally walked when he sent him up to pinch hit with two in scoring position and none out in the seventh.

Another inexcusable loss....

Again! Jeurys Familia blows second straight save after lengthy streak ends

Will Mets make or miss playoffs?

Lagares (thumb) likely out six weeks for Mets

In promoting the lefty-hitting Brandon Nimmo, the Mets concluded they did not have an attractive righty-hitting option who could play center field. They considered promoting 27-year-old Travis Taijeron, who is hitting .297 with 15 homers and 73 RBIs in 347 at-bats with Las Vegas. But they were dissuaded because Taijeron has 122 strikeouts -- the third-highest total in the Pacific Coast League -- and might have difficulty making contact at the major league level.

^ Is that for real???
Who in the fuck are they kidding?? ^
Pure Insanity!!

The New York Mets are in talks with the Milwaukee Brewers for catcherJonathan Lucroy and are willing to give one of their top prospects to close the deal.

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported on Saturday that the Mets are offering catcher Travis d'Arnaud and a top prospect believed to be outfielder Brandon Nimmo or a similar player, and one more piece.

Nimmo was rated the top prospect in the Mets organization coming into this season and hit .235 with one home run and four RBIs in 16 games. He was demoted to Triple-A earlier this month but was recalled Thursday to take the place of Juan Lagares, who went on the disabled list with a torn ligament in his left thumb.

The Mets, Rangers and Indians have all been linked to Lucroy with the non-waiver deadline coming on Monday. Lucroy has a partial no-trade clause in his contract and can block trades to eight teams, including the Indians. Lucroy is hitting .300 with a .360 OBP and has 13 home runs and 50 RBIs this season.

Woo Hoo!!!! Playoffs here we come.....the NL is now on notice.....:pound:

I really don't know what to think about this...other than there had to be a better option out there...:L

So the Mets have acquired their righty-hitting outfielder in 34-year-old Justin Ruggiano, who hit .226/.321/.427 in 164 at-bats with Triple-A Round Rock this season.

The Mets have signed Justin Ruggiano and he will start tonight. Jose Reyes to the DL, Terry Collins tells reporters.

Getting ridiculous w/the injuries.

yeah..it's been unusually more this year than in the past that I can recall.

I went to the Giants/Nats game today...and thank goodness the Nats lost.
Hopefully the amazin's can make up a little ground to at least keep the division interesting, but the Wild Card is probably a more realistic goal.
