The Mets are in sell mode and pretty much a dumpster fire. We need a sweep here end of story. This team seems to want to make the playoffs with mediocre moves and all, but if they really want to make the playoffs they need to take advantage of a mismatch series.

The last time they "shit all down their legs" against a dumpster fire team, was against the Phillies, a month ago, I know the team isnt where we would like it to be at right now, but I think think is a silly response.

The Yankees had lost 7 in a row coming into Seattle and we shit the bed there also.

I mean it's not just losing, it's the way they lose.

Can't get a throw out to the steal attempt at second and end up throwing it away so the runner goes to 3rd and ends up scoring on a sac fly.

Now you get back to back botched dropped pop ups in foul territory.

This team just does this every time they get near .500.

Exactly! I don't know if it is pressure or if they truly don't want the expectations that go along with winning. Some guys have no problem losing. I have played with guys like that and it is frustrating. It happens in the pros as well.

That's a team in the dumps (close enough to call them a dumpster fire) that we should have taken advantage of and at least gone 2-2 if not 3 of 4. There was no excuse for that. None. This baseball team just isn't very good.

I mean they are under .500 so by definition that's not a very good team isn't it? I wouldn't call them good, I'd call them average at best, but I sure can't call them 'very good', nor are they even in the same zip code as a very good team.

My daughter is 15. She has never witnessed a mariners playoff game. That's tragic.

Never did I say good or very good, so not sure where you got that from, I think decent is a pretty fair assessment. Also there they go shitting their pants again. Although the pitching will make this interesting still.

Pulling this game out won't change that. They would be back at that .500 mark again ready to go on yet another 3-4 game slide. It's what they do.
