Cavs take Loves money and build the team around LBJ and Irving and Thompson.

Della was missing in action last night.

I could be down with that. Keep Mozgov, sign TT. Get rid of that old trio Marion, Miller, and Jones.
Actually sign some young guys so the starters dont have to play 45.

I dont know about Varajeo though, they probably just need to move on from him

guess i should ask the Heat fans this question(though i think i pretty much know the answer), does this go down as an "unfortunate error in judgement" by LeBron in making the choice to return to Cleveland...?

also, i agree with you. in all likelihood we saw the Cavs best shot last night and they came up short. so what does this say about the Eastern conference in general...?

Depends on his real reason(s) for leaving.
If it was about cash/marketing then it was the right move.

I even understand his concerns about Wade, BUT ARE YOU REALLY TRUSTING KYRIE to stay healthy? Ever?
Moving forward for extended 100 game seasons?

If it was about winning, then he made a major error IMO by not just trusting a proven winner like Riley.

I know our roster looked stale, and as was constructed, wasn't going to probably be winning any more titles.

That being said, Riley isn't blind and would have found a way to upgraded the roster HAD James committed to staying.

I'd really like to be inside James' head today.
There has to be a lot of questioning to himself if this is a roster that he really thinks he'll be able to win with moving forward.

The Love/Tristan thing has to be troubling.
Too much money being tied up in the same position.

I think one of them has to go.
If not this summer, certainly by next.

Miller isn't going anywhere.
PLAYER option for near 3M.
Enjoy another year of that mess.

I think Love is gone. Probably not this year, but next. Love is young, will want max money. I can see the Cavs balking at that. I can also see the Lakers opening up the check book.

Random thought here, Cavs got ROBBED last night by that phantom traveling call. Should have been 100-98 Cavs at the end of the 4th!

I've always found LeBron's fondness for Miller odd. Miller must have some pictures LeBron doesn't want released. Miami saved 15 million cutting him, and that made LeBron mad. Which to me as player and a business man like LeBron is, you would think he could get it.

He wasn't mad at all, if you ever heard/read the real story.

They even approached James before doing it, and he didn't care.
EVERYONE including Miller knew at that point.

Lebatard said on his show immediately following the decision that cutting Miller had made LeBron mad.

YES! It's one play though, blaming on one play when there were many questionable calls really doesnt cut it.
They also could have gotten a better last shot too.

Kyrie is/will be no more reliable then Wade.
Always was injury prone and the knee thing takes it to a whole new level.

Attack, slash guards like he, Rose, Wade, etc.. are always the ones with knee issues.

ohh well, it's 3M. Marion is gone and Jones is like under 1 mil. I'm fine with Miller but the other guys have to go. Taking up space for players that can ACTUALLY play.

No one is going to balk at max money for one of the best PF's in the game. That's silly.

Wow, 42 pages have gone by since I got off yesterday. No way I'm catching up on that... so I'm just skipping straight here.

That was a game of inches. Putting the health of Kyrie aside for a moment... I was very encouraged by the game.

Not what I heard him say, not including what I know myself.

I heard Lebatard say exactly what I said, that he knew James was approached about it and didn't care.

I think they balk at it because of LeBron

btw...the Cavs dont need to play Irving. He looked bad after that game, I dont want anything too serious to happen were it could jeopardize his career.

Boy I don't know how you can be encouraged. They had a shot and missed out at stealing a game on the road. And now Irving is almost certainly done being effective for the rest of the series.

They needed Irving to be healthy to even have enough firepower to make this a series (even with him healthy they should have been the underdogs). Without him, they don't have a prayer.

The turning point of the game was the play Kyrie went down... and not just because he went down.

Neither team had made a FG in OT. The Dubs were up 4 from Stephs 4 pump-fake induced FT.

Kyrie goes down and somehow finds JR for the open 3. Misses.

Warriors rebound and are off and running. Kyrie is hurriedly limping back on d. Its 5 on 4, cavs are scrambling to find shooters. Kyrie finally catches up and sticks on Klay but by then the rest of the Cavs are out of position and still in scramble mode.

Warriors set nice back screen... wide open 3.... 6 point swing.... 7 point lead.

Game.
