That's what I believe, yes. There are more followers than leaders and followers like to follow leaders.

I agree on the importance of leadership as an intangible strength. We all follow leaders in our careers and surely have sometime lead teams outside of sports? People work better when there is a good leader.

My kid was in a baseball tournament yesterday at the same time as the Pats so I didn't see the game. I occasionally checked nfl.com as well as Ken's comments on here to keep up.

I just saw a video a few minutes ago of one of Thortons routes that was just awful. The defender barely had to do anything to defend it. The article was about Thorton being benched.

How did it come to this?

Maybe BOBs offense is to much for him?

IIRC, Mac missed Thornton twice when he was wide open.

There are only a few reasons why a QB misses a wide open target.

1. He didn't have enough time to get through the "Read" sequence
2. He missed the Read.
3. He had a better target
4. His reads were limited to one or two primary targets
5. He was told not to throw to the open target by the coaches
6. He misread the target
7. He doesn't have a clue about reading

He threw five high lofting marshmallows that no one could catch
He had three throws that receivers had to reach back for
He had multiple throws that no one, including defenders could catch.

Then they showed the difference between him and Howell's performance.

Passes that went the same distance, half the height and all were caught by his WRs
Multiple passes the WRs just had to pull in because they were exactly where they should have been

Mac looked the fourth option QB and not a starter in this two minute clip.

We won four games in a row. Made it to the gold bracket and into the championship game where we got pummeled for the championship 11 - 0. The opposing pitching held us to two hits. My kid got one of them. We got beat so bad that he only got to bat once.
