so much wrong with your post

1. I didn't say Dallas wasn't going to draft a TE...I said they weren't at that spot
2. Philly traded up for a 3rd TE which is laughable
3. Dallas's draft room was bouncing off the walls when they had their man, the Texas Tackle to play guard after philly took the TE.

spin it anyway you want champ, but philly screwed themselves unless they are planning a while lotta 3 TE sets.
It remains comical they moved up for a guy who will hardly see the field other than special teams
Goedert is their second string te which is very important to the team. Look at Burton's TD's last season. Not sure in what world you have to live in to think he is a special teams player. I think acting like that is the case would be the spin you were referring to. There is a reason their old #2 te is making 8 million a year now. Because that position is important to the team. And for the record the eagles played quite a bit of three te sets last year.

Well I guess I'm mistaken then. I thought playing time was a key part in comp pick awards. I guess it's possible there just wasn't all that many key FA signings that year.
It supposedly does, but unless the guy running this is a massive Chiefs homer, this looks largely like lip service if you look at how they have doled out comp picks.

That's the point. I'm not giving up a high 2nd round pick for a QB that has to be put in just the right offense to succeed. Elite QBs are ones that can go to a team and win without the team having to overhaul everything.

This doesn't make any sense. He literally was thrust into the starting QB role with 3 games to go, and lead his team to a Super Bowl victory. He's not elite, but he's a starting level QB in this league. If you take away the St. Louis season he has a 3 to 1 TD/Int ratio. Has been to a pro bowl, and a super bowl title. He's definitely a better option than Tyrod Taylor is.

Celek was cut and our other TE left via FA. They gave up a 6th to move up 3 spots and gained an extra 2nd. So he will see a ton of time if he’s good and most mocks had him going round one.

Where does the Cowboys 2nd round pick sit on the depth chart?

Man after losing two LBers yesterday maybe we should have went that route. I thought Kendrick’s was very very good at times last year.

Doesn't look like to me Jim Schwartz puts much effort in protecting his ILB's. Kendricks is kinda expendable in a D like that. Hence the constant trade murmurs this time of year until now.

TIGHT END
First team: Zach Ertz

Backups: Richard Rodgers, Dallas Goedert, Billy Brown, Adam Zaruba, Josh Perkins

The veteran Rodgers is currently ahead of the rookie Goedert. Not a surprise this early in the offseason.

I’ll straighten these arguments out. Wentz was an awesome qb in the way of avoiding sacks and keeping the play alive (somehow coming out of about six redskins gang tackling him) but this kind of play will make his NFL career very short, and may already be over. Next, Dallas is fucking stupid if they weren’t considering possibly the best TE in the draft after the news of Witten retiring and relying on a pure blocking te and a basketball player (only way a basketball court looks good is covered in wrestling mats)
