Sorry. Can’t win a national title if you can’t win your conference. Your title illegitimate. UCF was the true champion this year.

There's the real asterisk right there...#6 with 4 1st place votes.
Sure, they scheduled Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, and Washington who were similar to UNC and GT when UCF scheduled them.
They also scheduled Georgia and Michigan State, which are similar to Stanford and Michigan that UCF scheduled.
They don't even have anything to put an asterisk next to because nobody has awarded them shit.
The Orlando Sentinel awarded them a trophy and declared them National Champs. But, similar to Alabama in 1941 they're not recognized by the NCAA as a Champions

Virginia Tech was a 10 win ACC Champion when the Boise game was scheduled...I guess that's like UNC and GT...in that they are all ACC teams.
which one was similar to Maryland...
Presenting UCF with national championship trophy is what sports journalism is all aboutI don't think there was a trophy. I haven't seen one anyway.
Virginia Tech was in the ACC championship game 2 of the 3 years prior to playing Boise.
GT was in the ACC Championship game 2 of the 3 years prior to scheduling UCF.
Tulsa.
LOL, looks like he got it at Things Remembered in the Mall.
Missouri was in the SEC Championship game a couple of time too...didn't make them the 2nd best team in the SEC.
One of those GT teams was 6-6 and Virginia Tech was in 3 of 5 prior to playing Boise and won it twice, never having less than 10 wins...GT won none.
VT was and is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GT.
If they only had a system where teams could play each other to decide a championship.....
