Sorry. Can’t win a national title if you can’t win your conference. Your title illegitimate. UCF was the true champion this year.

There's the real asterisk right there...#6 with 4 1st place votes.

They don't even have anything to put an asterisk next to because nobody has awarded them shit.

Sure, they scheduled Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, and Washington who were similar to UNC and GT when UCF scheduled them.

They also scheduled Georgia and Michigan State, which are similar to Stanford and Michigan that UCF scheduled.

Virginia Tech was a 10 win ACC Champion when the Boise game was scheduled...I guess that's like UNC and GT...in that they are all ACC teams.

which one was similar to Maryland...

The Orlando Sentinel awarded them a trophy and declared them National Champs. But, similar to Alabama in 1941 they're not recognized by the NCAA as a Champions

I don't think there was a trophy. I haven't seen one anyway.

If they only had a system where teams could play each other to decide a championship.....

Virginia Tech was in the ACC championship game 2 of the 3 years prior to playing Boise.
GT was in the ACC Championship game 2 of the 3 years prior to scheduling UCF.

Tulsa.

NCAA recognizes only Alabama. No asterisk.

FBS Football

Sorry haters.

Btw - as for the 1941 national championship now being missing from what the NCAA recognizes, they stop doing math formulas with the addition of the AP poll. Which I generally approve of and is how I would personally do it.

All they need to do now is remove USC's AP poll in the BCS era to be consistent because it doesn't belong.

Tulsa.

Missouri was in the SEC Championship game a couple of time too...didn't make them the 2nd best team in the SEC.

One of those GT teams was 6-6 and Virginia Tech was in 3 of 5 prior to playing Boise and won it twice, never having less than 10 wins...GT won none.

VT was and is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GT.

Without a doubt. But, they're still scheduling teams similar to the ones Boise did.

Are you all new to college football, who cares if we got two champs this season. It happens from time to time, and it'll happen again I'm sure.

I know right. I wonder how all the other major sports and college sports and even D2 and D3 football does it.

Looks like this troll poll is working rather nicely.

Of course It's Bama. Entirely and just Bama. No drama or debate. Bama is THE national champions. Period.

They just beat two power 5 conference champions in back to back weeks to EARN that title.

All of the haters can cry as much as they like, but the system worked.

The playoff had 3 very tough conference champions in it and obviously the committee rightfully put bama in as one of the top 4 teams as the results backed that decision up.

It worked in every conceivable way. By any reasonable measure.

UCF is nothing more than king of the mid majors. A title that has in the past been with Boise State, TCU, Utah, and others. Congrats on that. It's no minor feat and something to be proud of. But they are NOT 'national' anything this season. Period.
