ooo mr hockey... October and November are such good times for shark fans!! sorta like the first week of the season for Royals fans....

how can 1 writer not even vote for scherzer in the cy young? not a 1st or 2nd or even a 3rd place vote? California writer...he voted for C Sales... Sales is good. but he didn't have the kind of season he or even white sox fans would even say was worthy.

BB writers are a joke

As was said, nice job for Max and Miggy, wish the Twins had some players that could stand above the rest, with that said, still nothing to show for it for Tigers fans... Next year should be another year of great individual season stats but crash and burn come playoff time but hey at least they made it that far right, some people are actually happy with finishing not 1st...

Its good to see some classy fans from other AL central teams. I was beginning to think tigers fans were the only ones with some of the angry, resentful fans of lesser teams in here. Thanks nosferatu, and you do have mauer.

Awesome and well deserved by max and miggy. While teams like the royals continue to roster a squad of losers teams like the tigers win and win and win.
Cy young now 2 out of three years.
MVP every damn season
Ah its amazing to be a tigers fan.

I remember ol Dale Murphy's consecutive MVP's and Johan Santana's Cy Youngs in 2 out 3 years and all the rings they got. Boston and Cubbies for years, has some great MVP's even a few Cy Youngs and I couldn't believe they thought they were losers for so many years.

It was a great year by Max, he is a Mizzou alum so got to love it, nice to see someone focus on baseball instead of starletts. By the trade deadline he should land with the Angels. Would be incredible to see what Max and Trout could do together. Well deserved by Miggy, his peak years were some of the best seasons ever, kudos to him.

Every talks about Boston going worst to 1st in only 1 year being amazing, to go from worst team the AL has ever seen 119 losses to perenial 5th to 2nd in 7 years is really pretty incredible too, thats no slouch accomplishment.

I obviously like Mauer but I sure would like more bang for the buck, sucks seeing the Twins pay a guy that much money to hit 300 with no power and play 130 games a year on a team losing 95+ games 3 straight years.

I was actually at one time a fan of the Tigers, some Tigers fans on CBS and here turned me against them, but I was actually rooting for them against the Red Sox and I do like some of their players I just get tired of morons like Cleaves. But I do like seeing the Central do well, tired of us being considered the weakest division.

Sorry to hear that the Twins won't have Clete Thomas roaming the outfield next year. Phillies signed him. Do the Twins have a plan to replace that key part of their team?
:)

Yes, nice to be able to watch these top-tier players day in and day out here in The D. But next year, how about ZERO individual awards in exchange for a World Series crown? Here's hoping.

Wild 8 -1 - 1 in their last 10... Harding has been pretty good...

Harding has been stellar. The Wild are going to be a tough out this year. They do such a good job of controlling the play if the goal scoring hits a hot streak come playoff time, teams will not have fun facing them.

Wild and Sharks just keep winning.

Dougy, Wings lucky to be playing in the little brother conference. At least they got a point.

wow the Wild have 4 more points than the wings on Nov 15. whens the parade???

sharks have a couple more... like I said. we seen this sooo many times.
when it counts..they aint in it to win it.

maybe the Wild should have raided a couple more D men to help out.
Red Wings young defense will just get better as the season goes on. strong at the end is the game plan... you don't get rings in November boys

There are 6 teams in pacific division that would be ahead of the division leading penguins in east lol.

Face it dougy. Wings can't even separate themselves in the bad conference.

speaking of baseball.. when was the last time the Royals made the play off bums??

well at least you don't have to go through all those Cy Youngs and MVPs ,best if you don't win a ring is to have a team not even competitive right?
that way you don't have to watch all those play off games riveted to your seat.

of course with the amount of games already played this year...you figured that out. brilliant!!!

didn't the wings just go through western Canada like a hot knife through butter???
to bad we didn't get to sweep through California that road trip

Why do you always compare dale murphy to miggy.....murphy hit 281 and 301 in his MVP years....hitting 36 HR's. Murphy was a good player but he wasnt miggy.....murphy played 19 yrs tho.

Wild didn't control the puck nearly as well last year as they have so far this year. Been very stingy allowing shots on goal.
