... and if Texas had played the gaggies' joke of a OOC schedule, we'd be 9-1.

What's really funny is Longhorn fans would loudly complain about weak OOC opponents and the gaggies would brag about their victory over a FCS team. smh

Throw insults all you want, but Rice, Lamar, LA-monroe and SMU speak for themselves. I know you play small Texas schools to keep an identity in the state, but at least play 1 BCS school.

All been discussed before how we had to break contracts when we moved from the big12 to SEC. Only teams that didn't have contracts are the little teams that want to get paid to be beat up.

??? BYU, Ole Miss, and NMST.. NMST is garbage, but I dont see 2 cupcakes. This is tired thread, but lets not start making things up. BYU would be one of the better OOC games on many teams schedule. That is more of an indictment on general scheduling, than giving BYU/Texas credit

Read the fucking post I quoted

You must have double vision by counting North Texas twice. The current BCS standings have UCLA at #14, BYU is #39, even North Texas is #56.

While the best your school has scheduled is SMU at #91 :omg:

If you see two cupcakes in the UT schedule, how do you describe your school's OOC opponents? Mashed Potatoes?:laugh3:

Got nothing to say to your stupid deal-welching ass.

Hey Ags,

He's right. If A&M was playing that schedule there would be at least 2 cup cakes. For the longhorns, not so much.

For you t-sips, was Rice a cup cake when you scheduled them? Isn't Rice on the Texas future schedule? Didn't Rice win a bowl game last year and have 8 wins this year? I seem to remember you horn fans using those arguments when explaining how tough your OOC schedule in the past.

Wasting your breath talking to the t-shirt fans

He's right. Had we scheduled like aggies in ooc - We would be 9-1 and an at worst shoe in for the Cotton Bowl.

8 home games, including Rice, Sam Houston, SMU, and UTEP. Even with those 4 ooc home games, you guys still have the 104th Defense in the country.:L

With your run defense, Rice would have also put up 650 on you.

Funny you sips are talking about the OOC schedule the day we announce ASU in 2015. We will get big schools again, just had to take the scraps when we made the move to the SEC.

And if A&M had the same ICC schedule as Texas they would be undefeated. Kansas (even though they gave your boys a tough game last year), TCU, WVU (even though they beat Texas last year and took them to OT this year), Iowa State (even though you needed a BS call to win this year).

Texas has as many or more cup cakes, yours are just in the ICC. Take a look at Ole Miss, they beat the doors off of Texas and are in the bottom half of the SEC West. Didn't A&M with their crappy defense beat Ole Miss and give up less points than the horns?

Really? Well:

Preseason Phil Steel predicted SOS: Texas (15); aggies (28).

Teams played ranked in the top 30: Texas (5); aggies (3).

Sagarin SOS rankings: Texas (30); aggies (48).

Congrove Computer SOS rankings: Texas (16); aggies (38).

** Basically all the aggies have proven this year is that they can lose 2/3 games vs top 30 teams, and they can beat SMU and Rice.

And like I said Texas:

1. Needs help from the officials to beat a powerhouse Iowa State
2. Needs OT to beat WVU
3. Cant tackle a slow QB with a knee brace
4. Can't beat one of the teams in the bottom of the SEC west

The only team of note on the Texas schedule just whipped their ass. You did get a win vs OU but they are a train wreck and had no business being ranked that high.

Is that still preseason top 30? We have 4 top 25 right now

Why would you use Sagarin and not BCS of which Sagarin is one component. You really don't need to answer ... I know why.

1) The post was about SOS and Sagarin was a main example;
2) Why would it matter? Ok, use BCS...

* Bama, Auburn, and Ole Miss. Those are the only 3 top 30 teams they have faced. After that:

* Rice, Sam Houston St, SMU, Arkansas, Vandy, UTEP, and Miss State.

Please inform us of who the 4th top 30 team is off that list??? Use any rankings list you like and let me know when you have an answer.:L

We still have LSU and Mizzou. So that will be 5, but not in the "have faced" category.

If you are going to nitpick like this you need to be more specific in your posts.

The facepalm wasn't meant for you. Also, my post said: "Teams played ranked in the top 30: Texas (5); aggies (3)." That's pretty specific.

We still have TTech and Baylor - which is at minimum 1 more top ranked team as well, but I didn't count them yet. In the end you guys will have faced 4/5 (LSU could still drop out); and we will have faced 6/7. Most likely 5 and 6, but we don't know - which is why I didn't count future games.
