And since he only takes 5-6 shots per game, his shooting percentages don’t hurt as much.

I really like the Rodman comparison. He just provides assists and ball handling instead of elite rebounding.

Rodman was never going to lead a team anywhere. But as a complimentary piece on a loaded roster, he can be tremendously valuable.
It's not that hard to see it. Even has the bad attitude LOL

The NBA's best teams all have a guy like that. Always have. He's the guy who does the "dirty work" so the stars don't have to.

Yeah, if he's hoisting 10+ shots a game and shooting that percentage, that's a problem. 5-6 and a couple of them probably shots he had to take because of clock shot issues or something, not an issue.

He doesn't have to take shots to be a problem, though. The defense can leave him alone. He is negative 3.4 OBPM.

You're never gonna see it, and that's fine

The play he had with Steph from a few games ago demonstrates Dray’s offensive value. He had the ball at the top and Steph’s defender was face guarding him. Dray was supposed to hand off to Steph, but it was denied.

He took a hard dribble to the opposite side of Steph, handed the ball to Steph while setting a flare screen to pop him for 3.

That was such a tremendously high basketball IQ play. That is what he brings to the table. Regardless of what the stats say, the Warrior offense runs better with Dray on the floor because of his feel and advanced understanding of the Warrior offense, and the habits of its best players.

Charlotte isnt a bad team. The knicks are hanging around.

I fully expect Miami to make the playoffs- but if they dont- especially with them owing their unprotected first rounder to OKC- i am going to feel extremely vindicated.

at what point can we say last year was a fluke?

Jae Crowder isnt exactly an 8 win player.

Beating teams 4 out of 7 3 different times to make the finals isn't a fluke. This isn't the same team and they obviously had plenty if covid/injury issues to deal with. They're 2 games or so out of 4th. They'll be fine. They just completed the hardest part of their schedule in all likelihood

This season is weird. Even teams like Boston, Denver, and Milwaukee are struggling big time but you dont have the same energy for them but that's no surprise lol

Draymond is a mediocre NBA power forward. He is overpaid & declining.
But its true that he is a good fit for GS when they have elite scorers around him.

The NBA refs are so clueless when it comes to what is in the act of shooting and what isn't.
