Truex busted again
Furniture Row Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. could face a points penalty after NASCAR confiscated front jack screws from the car during prequalifying inspection Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway. NASCAR, which confirmed it confiscated the screws, typically announces penalties Wednesday after the race weekend. It has the option of issuing a points penalty that could be 10 to 25 points, depending on how severe NASCAR views the violation. NASCAR occasionally takes parts from cars and evaluates them after the race weekend is over in determining the penalty. The confiscation of the screws was first reported by Motorsport.com.

From what I heard, it doesn't sound like its a severe enough infraction to merit a point penalty according to a NASCAR official.

Keselowski is going to be tough to deal with starting up front. I'd like to see him get a piece of history by winning his 3rd plate race of the season tomorrow.

They've been cheating all year, why bother to punish them now? Hell, this is like the 4th time they've actually been caught and they still don't do shit to them

At least he's doing it for the right reasons in my opinion. I wonder if Biffle might take it if he ends up leaving RFR? Or if not, maybe a low level guy like David Ragan, Regan Smith or Brian Vickers (if he ever comes back full time) or someone in the Xfinity Series perhaps?

I think Biffle is ready to get away from anything related to Roush. I honestly think this was Brian Scott's plan the entire time, get 1 year of Cup in before retirement, because the only reason he has a ride anyway is his family owns Shore Lodge and has ties to Albertson's. I imagine whoever is the replacement will have to bring a sponsor with them.

I can understand that but I don't know of how many options there are out there for him other than that HScott Motorsports team he's a part owner of. As for his ride when he leaves, I can also perhaps see Buescher coming over to take it.

I'm curious, but where are you seeing that Biffle owns part of Harry Scott Motorsports? He does own the building that the #47 team is in, but he doesn't actually own a team from what I can tell.

You're right, it is the shop. I was looking at something and misconstrued it into thinking it was part of the team.

Biffle wouldn't get away from anything Roush if he goes to RPM. RPM gets their engines from Roush.
