This sounds awful.
All races will be broke into 3 stages.
1st stage will be a certain amount of laps. Top 10 get points.
2nd stage will be a certain amount of laps. Top 10 get points.
3rd stage will reward points exactly like points have always been rewarded.

The drivers seem to love it

With the races going to the 3 stage format, I'd say the road course is a very likely option for the All Star race at Charlotte.

The people that actually matter, the fans, don't seem to think so. @pabartl787 I think is right. They're probably afraid of being reprimanded by Brian France.
I wonder if Carl Edwards knew something like this was coming and hated it and that's why he quit.

I propose another rule change... At restrictor plate tracks, during the middle of the race you have to be able to thank your sponsors in alphabetical and reverse alphabetical order while being three or four wide so you can get additional bonus points.

Is this a fan render or the actual car? That thing is hideous.

As for the changes, they are just as terrible as I feared yet somehow even dumber. "We need to attract millennial viewers with short attention spans! I know how! Let's take a long race and make it longer by adding in breaks!!!"

Theyre too afraid to speak out against the almighty Brian France.

It's this. Drivers aren't allowed to voice their true opinions. Teams aren't either nor are media members that cover the sport weekly. Drivers and teams that voice an opinion against NASCAR's opinion find themselves making extra trips through the inspection line, pit road speeding penalties, confiscate perfectly legal parts for "examination in the R&D center" that you'll never get back, and other conveniently timed woes. Media members will literally get their credentials pulled.

It's the real car, just photoshopped in front of the building. There are several videos of them presenting the car on Hooters Facebook page.

With the way things are going, with rapidly declining TV rating and live attendance, I really don't see Nascar being around in another 10 years.
