lol at a decade of emptiness.
i'd rather be the best 3 times every decade with a couple terrible seasons thrown in there than never be the best like ohio state.
i'm not disputing that they'd have one of the best defenses in the SEC (or country) with a tougher schedule. but auburn just scored 34 and 59 points against 2 of the best defenses in the SEC and rushed for an average of over 400 yards against those 2 teams.
i understand why everyone thinks...
teams better than miami that auburn played
alabama
lsu
georgia
texas a&m
maybe ole miss
honestly, i'm not even sure miami is better than mississippi state or washington state. both of those teams played WAY tougher schedules than miami which accounts for some of the W/L discrepancy.
miami was the 2nd best team florida state played during the regular season. think that might have had something to do with it? because miami is pretty bad.
you do realize that if the best team doesn't come from the SEC, that doesn't mean the SEC is automatically overrated? what happens if the SEC goes 9-1 in bowl games (auburn loses), and finishes with 8 teams in the top 25? overrated conference? hardly.
if you were an alabama fan, you'd understand why i used the phrase "beating the hell"
if they beat an FCS or sunbelt team by a point, they chant "we just the beat the hell outta you"
that tradition predates poisoning the environment and putting their balls on people's faces.
and in terms of the computers, his statement still holds water. i love all these people who act like the only source we use for determining ranked teams have all this ESPN hype behind it. is espn programming the computers too?
the SEC is where they are because of the results on the field...
if i'm so stupid then why do you keep talking about ohio state is better than auburn when auburn is playing for a national title (their second in 4 years; ohio state's got a decade of emptiness).
seriously, any team that loses to ohio state sucks. this is proven because no team that has...
you just gave your coach a 2 million dollar raise for losing the iron bowl when he said he never considered leaving. the last time your boys took the field they lost to auburn. you just watched auburn win their 2nd SEC championship in 4 years, and will have to watch them play for another.
and...
and in 2013, you've got more of none of that.
and no chance to win it all.
enjoy your leather helmet achievements.
but in the here and now, ohio state is just another decent team that plays a creampuff schedule and can't win the big games against good teams.
yawn...
the population of the birmingham area largely lives outside the city proper.
i suppose you also want to try and act like virginia beach, mesa arizona, long beach cali, tucson arizona, and albequerque new mexico are bigger than atlanta and miami.
lol at ohio state fans living in the past.
it;s 2013.
your program hasn't won anything meaningful in a decade.
if you want to watch great football teams play, you'll need to watch auburn and florida state. the big 10... LOL.
seriously... auburn has as many wins over ranked tams as THE ENTIRE...
