Can you remember the last time the canes had only 4 wins? Me either. Maybe sometime before UFs last winless season.

Trying to rember the last time uf had more NCs too.....its not coming to me

it would be before that.. but we had ONE winless season in 1979 and the canes had multiple losing season as well.. can you say the same for UF.. don't think so.

71 - 4-7
75 2-8
76 3-8
77-3-8
2 consecutive and 3 consecutive but who's keeping track..
and you have had 2 losing seasons more recently.. just not this year.. (97 5-6 ,2007 5-7 ) .. your right you have 2 more NC's then us.. we will get there again no doubt..

you do realize that if the best team doesn't come from the SEC, that doesn't mean the SEC is automatically overrated? what happens if the SEC goes 9-1 in bowl games (auburn loses), and finishes with 8 teams in the top 25? overrated conference? hardly.

You are making suppositions to justify your position... Just like I did. But my opinion still remains: SEC is overrated.

Statistically Auburns defense is terrible. But Ive noticed all season that when they have to have a stop they get it. They were so many times in the Iron bowl where We were down on their side of the field and they either stopped us on 4th down or made us kick field goals.(which we missed). But FSU offense is better than bamas so we will see if they can do it against FSU.

Auburn is three plays away from an irrelevant bowl game. They are hardly the #2 team in the country.

miami was the 2nd best team florida state played during the regular season. think that might have had something to do with it? because miami is pretty bad.

and they would have been the third best team Auburn played in the regular season had they been on the schedule. Maybe fourth behind A&M

Yeah they got a shot. They can run the ball on anyone. I just dont think their defense is good enough to win. FSU 38-21

Ironically, this weekend's D2 national championship is somewhat of a forerunner of what we might see in the BCS national championship:

NWMS is more or less the FSU of D2, completely rounded-out and dominant in all aspects. Facing them is what I call the "Auburn" of D2 - a mostly one-dimensional triple-option running team that has completely survived off of the run, and they came out of nowhere.

MWMS are heavy favorites.

lsu
georgia
texas a&m
maybe ole miss

honestly, i'm not even sure miami is better than mississippi state or washington state. both of those teams played WAY tougher schedules than miami which accounts for some of the W/L discrepancy.

Knowing bama's luck, the more likely outcome would be a ugly, close BCSNCG won by a fluke FG play and bama somehow gets voted #1 after beating OU.
