There are no reports of him ever witnessing anything. Any report anybody has of him being involved is at best 2nd hand and they were reported up the chain and/or to police.

Joe also didn't handle the booking of "campus" facilities.

you do know that PSU has campuses all over the state, right? Not all incidents happened in JoePa's personal locker room.

Totally. Sandusky was caught naked in the shower with a kid. He was told to not do it again. This was when he was still the head assistant coach. Months later he announces he's "retired" and he gets a package. Unless you're a blind homer that shows they know. they want him away but not too far so he can't mess up and tarnish the program. So when Joe pa is told someone saw him in the showers naked with a kid years later . He knows whats going on. Does he hit the ceiling ? Does he sound the alarm? Nope. he goes to the president who was more worried about what this would look like and the school cops who are useless.

I followed college football 40+ years ago and I was a Penn St fan in large paart because I thought Joe Pa was a class act. Combined with their simple, yet killer uniforms I was all in as a teenager.

Knowing what I now now I have to say that a complete purge of everyone even remotely associated with all of those who were part of that regime is not only necessary, but long overdue.

Joe Paterno could have ended the abuse years before it ended if he wanted to. His loyalty to Jerry Sandusky prevented him from doing the right thing and that will forever taint his legacy.
