I didn't say a $7.7 mil savings for Pitta and you are correct about Webb and Smith (I was a year off on both). My point is the same. That's $11 mil off the number you are looking at for Pitta and Webb. I doubt Doom plays under a $8.5 mil figure. They can easily get away from Wallace if necessary. Watson...Forsett...Arrington...add those up. You get the point.
That also means then you have to replace all those players and the more bottom of the barrel contracts you are relying on to fill out your roster usually the less depth you actually have. I mean it is easy to say "hey cut all these players or restructure all these players" but when it comes down to it cutting players means you are hoping to find a cheaper option that can do just as good or better than the player you are cutting and well doesn't always work out great. And when you restructure a contract usually means you are just pushing money down the road making it that much harder in future years.
So yeah you can cut those players and whatever but I don't see that making you guys a great team either. To me that looks more like a rebuild than a Championship caliber type team.
