Comparing a career backup to Russ, who’s been to two Super Bowls? W-L record doesn’t mean much for career backups, but for dudes that have done it consistently throughout their career, it means something.

Except, I never compared them? You said the win still goes on RW's record.

I simply pointed out PJ Walker's stats as why it is pointless to attribute W-L record solely to the QB.

My biggest issue with Russ is fumbling in crucial times and hanging onto the ball too long. He isn't the perfect QB but he is WAY better then last year and that is improvement.

Win 4 straight and get the Broncos in the playoff conversation. The probably need to go at least 5-2 the rest of the way to have a shot.

Being back in contention for the playoffs is great. Actually making the playoffs is gonna be very tough. Outside of maybe the Patriots, there really isn't an easy game on the schedule. However, not many would have predicted a victory against the Chiefs or winning on the road in Buffalo but here we are. Possible? Yes. Difficult? Quite. It's just nice to not be occupied with the upcoming draft at the mid point of the season for once.

It's definitely time to look at this thread again and laugh. Wilson isn't doing it pretty but it's hard to argue against him being a pretty effective QB this season. I am not worried about the yards. Jay Cutler and even Kyle Orton when he was here passed for a lot of yards. I like the TD to INT ratio and like that Wilson seems to be doing just enough to keep the offense moving. If you think about it as a fan, it's hard for us to watch this offense sometimes and not get stressed out. But it's got to be even more mindblowingly frustrating for opposing fans feeling like they're so close and RW somehow manages another 1st down.

Back when I started this thread I acknowledged the Broncos weren't necessarily losing games because of Wilson. My gripe then was his contract was and is on a level that warranted his play to elevate this team and it wasn't. I am not going to weigh in on the contract at this time, all I am going to say is that Wilson seems to really be growing into this offense and doing his part. It still isn't pretty but it won't need to be if the Broncos keep winning.
