I can't wait either... Pace still has a lot of $ to spend for those one year deals like he did last year. There is more fillers and fringe players coming I'm sure.
Do they bring back Acho? How about a vet Center? Another return man? maybe another prove it deal CB?

I see the draft going with Best Available still- DLine is still pretty stacked talent wise early. I wouldn't mind one of those guys coming. I'm just really excited with what Pace is doing. Keep it up!

This past week could not have gone better. My goodness.

Every addition we could ask for on defense, all for good value. Then, we get Miller back for 3 mil!

Go Ryan, Go!

I'm thinking some little people, cb's & safeties with a smattering of a DT or OT. Even a mid round QB for good measure.

What we've done over the past week, really does free us up to go best available player. Hell, if Wentz falls to us, I don't even mind taking a QB at 11. Would I rather take a CB/OL/DL? Yes, clearly. However, not if we have to reach.

I wonder if Hargreaves will get to #11...

Our front seven seems all but set, aside from a few depth additions and camp bodies. If we feel there's a big time pass rusher or something, obviously you can never have to many. However, I'd love to see us get after bolstering that secondary. Hargreaves, Fuller and Porter for the next few years sounds real nice. Especially with how Amos looked at Safety.

Man, if this defense stays healthy and pans out as good as I think it looks on paper. If we score 24-27 points or so most games, especially given our (seemingly) relatively generous schedule. I think we may just be in business. Then factor in, that Cutler played most of last season throwing to the likes of Todd Mariani, Josh Bellamy and Marquess Wilson as his top targets. If Alshon, White and Miller are healthy... we might have this ship on a real good path for the next few years.

*Slaps self for getting excited*

Martellus Bennett is a stud, but maybe a bit of a cancer it seems? Miller was a nice surprise in his absence last year. Glad they brought him back.

Now let's get something for Bennett and not just fucking give him away!

We're not going to get much...

Martellus has a shit rep around the league.

"Doesn't hustle, doesn't give a shit"... etc... and I hate to say it, after I liked him so much originally, but it's true. Never seen a guy walk up and down the field more looking like a dog than he does.

Also, his "I'm so funny! I'm the black unicorn!" schtick got old after like one radio appearance. lol

The way things are coming together is great. I'm tired of the Bears being a second thought around the NFL. My hopes for this draft go HB QB. HB because I really don't think we have a legit starter and QB because this team will be good and getting better the next few years. We really need to start grooming Jays replacement. As much as I like the way Jay is playing now, he will be looking to retire as this team is peaking.

I still want them to take a left tackle with 11. They have enough bodies on defense. No real lightling quick OLB, but I dont trust Leno with the left tackle spot and its time to stop overpaying Bushrod and Orlando Pace types to fill that role.

I do not have an issue if one of the top 2 QB's fall, highly unlikely, but that 3rd QB at 11 would be a reach. I suspect the Bears are going to nab a QB in the mid rounds, based on some of the QB's they've talked to so far this year.

Same holds true with the HB position. Not a single HB is rated in the top 15 spots in any draft boards or mock's that I've seen from anyone. Taking a HB at 11 appears to be a reach. No Gurley's this year I guess.

There is some talk about possibly 2, top 11, talent LT's in the draft, with one of them potentially going as high as 2 in the draft?!?! Dunno. Wouldn't bother me if they went this route. Also, I wasn't all that happy with Grasu last year at Center. Wouldn't mind a flyer on another Center at some point.

TE draft group is bad this year.

Safeties, and CB's I could live with along with depth along the D line or at LB.

Interesting to hear this: The reason Zach Miller returned to the Bears: I really wanted to play with Jay.
Just saying. :)

I still don't want a QB in the First round... I've made this clear, I just don't think it's the right time or the right players are going to be there, I still think the top 3 QB's are all reaches in the top 10 picks anyway. Give me another DLineman, Oline, Safety... OLB. 3rd round QB would be fine with me. Go Bears!

Oh, I would take either Wentz or Goff, if they fall to pick #11, but I just don't think that's going to happen. I mean, if one falls, you pick them and they're starting caliber then you just dump Jay next year (saving a ton in salary cap) and grab a F/A in the area you're lacking because you picked a QB @11 this year and run with it.

Oh, and I see Elliot is rated high as a RB in some Mock's so I stand corrected.

Tunsil might go #1 overall, with Stanley from ND second best possibly going 8-11. Conklin from Michigan State all can go in top 11 picks.

Fox has a history of taking RB in the first. So don't be shocked if it happens. It's not what I'm hoping for but I'm really not happy to go into this year without a true starter at HB. So if he does I won't scream bloody murder. Would piss me off tho.

They say he can do it all. Speed & power running and catches well. Again I don't want him but I could see it happening.

I think backs are a dime a dozen sort of. I mean there are exceptional RBs, don't get me wrong, we just parted ways with one, but I think we'd be ok with a 3-headed attack of Langford, Carey and Rogers.

I really believe with Jay at QB, a strong run game is needed. Jay is better when he does not have it all on his shoulders. Really wish we would have kept MF, he went cheap too. It's my only knock on Gase, we let a top WR go then used our much needed No.1 pick at that position. Now we let MF go and possibly will use our much needed No.1 to replace him. Makes me sick.

I assume you mean, Pace, here?
