sorry boys but I ain't buying the excuses abt the Boston series and the poor Habs were a little tuckered out. It's the Goddamned playoffs for crissakes and the Rangers had played more games than the Habs. Bottom line the Rangers skated them into the ice the whole series becuz they're a better team. There isn't any more to it than that , except Subban single handedly gave us 2 games which we gladly accepted

Nobody said it was an excuse. In fact, if you had bothered to read the entire post that you quoted, you'd see that I clearly state that it demonstrates that the Rags have better depth than the Habs.

On what planet does it constitute an excuse to say that the Rags were the deeper team and were therefore fresher at the end? Depth is a HUGE part of what makes one team better than the other.

I love the doubters. Seeing plenty of it already, we can't hang with the West? Alrighty then. Can't wait to see my team prove every doubter wrong.

It's good to be confident in your team, but there's no question that a neutral observer is going to put the winner of the Kings/Hawks series as the favo(u)rite to win it all.

And I don't think that's doubting the Rangers, it's looking at things objectively. When you've got a team - any team - that will be facing either a) the winner of 2 of the last 4 Cups or b) the winner of one of the other Cups who is also making their 3rd consecutive WCF appearance, that team is going to be seen as the underdog.

That said, that's why they play the games. Anything can happen in a 7 game series and I hope it's a good series. Preferably the full 7 games so the season goes on as long as possible.

I do think Tokarski was decent, better than I thought he would be but I dont think he was anything great. He was a rebound machine and the skaters usually got to them before the Rangers did.
Its easy to point out goals that Tokarski let in and judge whether you think Price would have stopped them or not. That's only one part of it though. The entire team philosophy and game plan changed after Price went down. An already defensive minded team became even more defensive minded and less aggressive and I think it showed.

I said after game 1 when it was announced Price was out for the series that the series was over. I still think that was the defining moment of the series. I think the Habs give up less goals and probably score more if Price had been playing.

Honestly, I picked the Rangers in 6 before the series but after watching the series after he went down I think the Habs win it if he plays. Feel free to attack me if you want, I don't mean to diminish the Rangers accomplishment, its just my opinion.

I hate the Rangers but I can be an unbiased (reported?) observer. Defensively both the Kings and Hawks are better than what the Rangers have faced. Quick can neutralize the Lundqvist factor. Both teams can match and arguably have more depth than the Rangers. On paper (which again means absolutely nothing) both teams have a very good chance of beating the Rangers with the Kings having the goaltending edge between the two Western teams.

So how many games are you going to Johnny?

It's been 20 years since the Rangers were last in the Stanley Cup Final, so naturally, fans are a little excited. With that excitement comes some absolutely ABSURD ticket prices for the Games 3, 4 and 6 of the 2014 Final, which will be played at Madison Square Garden.

For Game 3 on June 9, secondary market listings on StubHub start at $1,143.30 for a 400 level seat behind the goal. You'll pay at least double that price, probably triple or more, if you want to sit in the lower level. Prices for Game 3 top out on StubHub at $21,003 for a seat in section 214. That's the price for one (1) ticket.

Prices are pretty similar for Game 4 on June 11, starting at $1,147.01 and topping out at $26,253 for a seat in the Platinum Club, right behind the net the Rangers defend twice, basically at ice level. There's one absurd listing for a seat in section 220 that's priced at $100,501.96. We imagine that ticket will not sell at that price, so we're ignoring it.

Things get a little crazier for Game 6, in which it's guaranteed that the Stanley Cup will be in the house -- potentially to be won by the Rangers. Tickets start at $1,368 but quickly skyrocket, with 94 StubHub listings priced north of $10,000. Twenty-four of those are more than $15,000 and eight are more than $20,000.

The top ticket is again in the Platinum Club behind the net, priced at $29,168.85.

Stanley Cup Final ticket prices in New York are absolutely ridiculous - SBNation.com

Congrats to the Rangers and their fans on here.

Just make sure you're rooting for the Kings tonight. You wouldn't want people to say you had too much rest and have an advantage going into the Finals.......

Love how you hate a player on the Bruins so much he keeps coming up in the next series..

To be fair what Lucic did, and his response, was as douchey as it comes.

Cause you are such a authority on all... :L

It doesn't matter whether he's on my team or not - what he did was just flat out stupid - my opinion on that doesn't change regardless of if he's on my team or not

If he was on your team you would call it passionate.

No. I'd be ashamed of him at that point.

I've played some intense games in my time and I would never say that I'm going to kill someone in the handshakes. That's just a fucking disgrace. No way to sugarcoat it.

If you think someone stepped over the line you can say nothing at all or even not shake his hand.
