Did Robby Anderson sign with anyone yet?

Something about this guy screams FA bust - at this point I'd be much more comfortable with Perriman as a FA option, then take our chances in the draft with the depth that is going to be available.

And Javiska Shenault in the 2nd or 3rd? I know we will probably go CB in the 2nd, but hey, you never know!
:hope:

Given his injuries leading up to the draft, Shenault would be excellent value in the 2nd if he's still there.

Perriman is key to this offseason on offense.

I hope there aren't more teams that were sitting on him. Maybe not highly valued around the league, which would be great.

He can get deep and we need as much of that as we can add.

I couldn’t possibly agree more. I was hoping someone had signed him by now so the chance we would could be passed.

Stay the Perriman route.

No I agree... I know there was "rumors" the Birds were targeting him but like I said "rumors".

My son is an advisor to student athletes at Temple, and he said that Robby is not a good dude, so I agree that he may be a risky sign. Go with Perriman. If they were in talks with Perriman, why isn't he signed? Maybe it was just a rumor. I haven't heard that anywhere else.

Always the read I had on the guy for sure. That’s interesting.

Word is Perriman is asking between 8 and 9 mil per year. It's a bad year to play hardball as a WR when you have such a stacked WR Class ... teams can just address their need through the draft. The asking price for Perriman and Anderson will eventually come down. Anderson is apparently asking for around 13 mil.

I would jump on Perriman if we can get him for 8M. Why risk losing him to a team with a lot of cap space.

Yeah.....that’s a little steep for the guy at this point. No one else is paying 8-9 anyway. Maybe this is where Howie’s cleverness with the numbers could be an advantage and put us in the lead.

As a guy who spent a long time in both outside and inside (over phone) sales....I can tell you it’s so much harder to negotiate over the phone. Although maybe these teams and agents are using Skype or something like that too.

The Texans screwed up the WR market by grossly overpaying for Randall Cobb ... giving him 9 mil per year while guaranteeing 2 years. That's insane ... at most "imo" Cobb should be a 4-5 mil guy, not a 9 mil guy.

Too much.... Hit the draft and see if you can snag one or two rookies and if either Anderson or Perriman come to there senses and actually want to play for a team that has a legit shot of playing for a title then open the talks again.

Perriman, at this point in his career, isn't in Cobb's class.

Guess we'll agree to disagree. Add Perriman, DJAX, and 2 draftees to our corp, and we'd have an outstanding group of receivers. And, I even would give up #21 to get Ngakoue, making that we pick the best WR in the 2nd round.

I've been on the Perriman bandwagon "but" at the right price ... which imo is around 5-6 mil. He's on the right track after last season, but still has a lot to prove before deserving 8-9 mil per year. Cobb had a nice bounce back year in Dallas, but that's the first time since 2015 that he broke 700 yards and he's strictly a slot guy ... imo not worth close to 9 mil per year.

The Tokyo Olympics have been cancelled.
College football is talking about cancelling their season.
Can the NFL be far behind?

Very true ... and Michael Gallup on the other side is one of the best #2 WR's in the league as well. Cobb wasn't getting much attention.
