kamara is a good choice tho, probably could have put him over lindsay or someone.Fuck you! I voted Barkely.
I could almost understand thinking this....but no rational person would say "not even close" is just the typical Extreme Guy here.RBs have a limited shelf life. 1 year is more than enough sample size especially given what we saw in college .
There is NO ONE here ( if they're being honest ) who wouldn't trade their teams starting RB for Barkley straight up. If you claim otherwise you're lying
I could certainly see Barkley as the choice....only disagreement is with the Extreme "not even close" answersThat's why I would take him over any option for the future but I'm not anointing him the best after one year.
Isn't that what this thread is asking ? Take the one back you'd want in your backfield ? I personally think Barkley is already the best but even if you think he's just close you're still taking him over anyone else because of age/money . Maybe in misunderstanding the thread title but that's how I took it
No I actually just don't think it's close . Not going forward . If the question in the OP is for one game or one season I could see saying it's close but I took it to mean going forward . In that case it's not close especially given the moneyI could almost understand thinking this....but no rational person would say "not even close" is just the typical Extreme Guy here.
Pick 1 RB to have in your backfield.
Go.
The Giants' OL rated 21st overall, so more like below average, and it improved over the course of the year and now they've added one of the best guards in the NFL. If he doesn't average 6 this year, I think that's about all you need to see.I think he would probably be close to 6 yes and yes a better receiving back than Zeke so he'd likely get more targets . I mean shit he averaged 5 behind one of the worst lines in football with teams stacking the box against him because his QB can't throw a spiral
So what's the thought on Phillip Lindsay? You rip apart the NYG OL, yet Lindsay averaged almost half a year more per carry than Barkley behind an OL that graded out worse. No I actually just don't think it's close . Not going forward . Watch this, when I say this name, all the ones on that list will disappear from your mind.....
Earl Campbell...
Love Lindsay but he's not the receiver or blocker Barkley is. He's too 10 for me thoughSo what's the thought on Phillip Lindsay? You rip apart the NYG OL, yet Lindsay averaged almost half a year more per carry than Barkley behind an OL that graded out worse.
What do you actually know about Saquon as a pass-blocker? In fact, what do you know about Lindsay as a pass-blocker?Love Lindsay but he's not the receiver or blocker Barkley is. He's too 10 for me though
Fans like that crack me up who pretend they have a clue. What do you actually know about Saquon as a pass-blocker? In fact, what do you know about Lindsay as a pass-blocker?
Well I've watched Barkley for years and I've seen Lindsay plenty as well ( altjough not as much as Barkley ). Barkley , imo, is an elite blocker especially on the blitzWhat do you actually know about Saquon as a pass-blocker? In fact, what do you know about Lindsay as a pass-blocker?
In what capacity though? Can you even quantify that? Because those "years that you have been watching him" actually resulted in an NFL analyst saying he was "Inconsistent at take-on blocks in pass protection" coming out of college. Meanwhile, in his final year at CU (2017), Phillip Lindsay actually rated as the 7th draft-eligible RB in the nation in pass pro.Well I've watched Barkley for years and I've seen Lindsay plenty as well ( altjough not as much as Barkley ). So?? I'm giving you my opinion . Advanced stats had Barkley as the 4th most efficient blocker last year amongst RBs too but I'm just talking about what I see. You're free to disagree as we can both post stats and quotes all day long but you and I both know the Broncos would trade Lindsay for Barkley on less time than it took you to read thisIn what capacity though? I don't think anyone would take Lindsay over Barkley. You could make the argument than any team would trade their RB for Barkley right now. That said, he's not 20% (whatever that means) better than any other RB in the NFL.I absolutely love Phillip Lindsay. Hometown kid, hero at Colorado and an incredible rookie year with the Broncos. The kid is a stud and very versatile. I think his career will be great. He's sneaky quick and more powerful than a 5'9" frame should be.
Having said all that, I'd take Saquon Barkley in a heartbeat over Lindsay. That guy is uber special.
